Created by perfumer Alexis Dadier of Mane Paris, this luminous dewy fragrance is all about floral femininity.FANCY Jessica Simpson opens with the radiance of sparkling Pear and juicy Apricot Nectar wrapped with the glow of Red Fruits. Fancy New Fragrance From Jessica Simpson

In August 2008, Jessica Simpson will add a perfume to her curriculum vitae. Fancy is the product of Jessica’s collaboration with Parlux Fragrances.
"With Fancy, I wanted to create a pretty fragrance, one that I could be just as comfortable wearing on the red carpet or every day with my favorite jeans," says Simpson. "For me, Fancy is just that: fancy. This is a unique fragrance - personal, whimsical, playful and romantic with a heart of gardenia, an essence I truly cherish."
Fancy opens with the radiance of sparkling Pear and juicy Apricot Nectar wrapped with the glow of Red Fruits. The heart of Fancy is the captivating draw of dewy Gardenia laced with the delicacy of Night Blooming Jasmine. Toasted Almonds and Caramel notes provide a playful element. Creamy Sandalwood, infused with the sensual energy of Amber Crystals, unites with the embracing warmth of Vanilla Crème as Fancy clings to the skin at dry down. The fragrance itself is the color of blush champagne, a soft pink, the ultimate color of femininity. The bottle is a softer, more modern interpretation of Jessica’s favorite vintage perfume bottles. The rose-gold floral motif that encircles both the bottle and collar add richness and dimension to this exquisite package.
The Fancy fragrance collection consists of a 3.4 oz. Eau de Parfum Spray ($59.00) and a 1.7 oz. Eau de Parfum Spray ($49.00), and a 5.0 oz Body Lotion ($30.00). The launch gift with purchase is a vintage-inspired cosmetic case, in soft pink to match the fragrance.

Felix Rey Giveaway!

I don’t really fancy myself a trendsetter. But for New York Fashion Week, I pulled out all the stops. Nordstrom LBD. BCBG patent pumps. Oversized sunglasses. Designer handbags galore.
Unfortunately, one of my most stylish accessories never saw the light of day because it stayed hidden in my purse. So it makes its debut tonight. Behold, my Felix Rey cosmetic case.Check out the intricate lace motif and the logo zipper pull...super chic!
Felix Rey was born in 2001, when friends Lily Rafii and Sulaika Zarrouk decided to design accessories for the smart and stylish girl-about-town. They soon realized they were on to something when their bags started selling out at Bergdorf’s. Then fictional fashionista Carrie Bradshaw carried one of their bags on “Sex And The City” - and the rest, as they say, is history.
Today, Felix Rey continues to create haute handbags – as well as belts, wallets, umbrellas, and other small accessories that round out the line. They describe their customer as “the modern girl with a whimsical flair for style,” and their celebrity fans include Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez, Lucy Liu, Jessica Simpson, Anne Hathaway, and Paris Hilton – just to name a few.
I’m a huge fan too…which is why I am so thrilled to announce that Spoiled Pretty is giving away three of their cosmetic bags! Yay!! Thank you, Felix Rey!!!
To enter the giveaway, visit the Felix Rey website and find out who the company is named after. Then send an email to spoiledprettycontests@gmail.com - be sure to include the answer and your full name. The subject line should read "Felix Rey Giveaway.”
The contest ends at 9 pm EST on Sunday, February 17th. Winners will be chosen at random from among the entrants. On Monday, February 18th, I’ll announce the winners' names. Please, only one comment per person; duplicate comments will not increase your chances of winning. Contest is open to U.S. & Canadian residents. Good luck!

You Don’t Have To Have Bad Skin
Head on over to the New York Times' website for an interesting article entitled, "Why Should Kids Have All the Acne?" Journalist Natasha Singer discusses pimples, product marketing, and ProActiv. In a nutshell, the story contends that people's quest for perfection, coupled with Guthy-Renker's marketing genius, has resulted in a windfall ("five million active customers and annual worldwide sales of about $850 million") for a product that's actually not much different from Clearasil.
I've never used Proactiv, so I'm curious about whether this really is a miracle product or if it's just all talk. Have you tried Proactiv? Share your Proactive experience in the comments section of this post.
FYI - Did you know that Jessica Simpson just renewed her contract with Proativ Solutions for a rumored $3 million? Look for new infomercials to air this holiday season.
