Congrats to the winner of the ghd Iconic Eras of Style Giveaway - Jessica Lucente!
Jessica will receive the Boho Chic set - which includes the ghd Gold Professional 1" styler, two sectioning clips and a step-by-step booklet showing you how to recreate iconic styles at home - packed in a heat-resistant, brown fringed clutch!
I own the same set and I'm obsessed. It's like the styling iron of my dreams, made real. I love that it heats up in mere seconds, and beeps to let me know it's time to do the do. And the contoured plates allow me to create both straight and curved styles. It also shuts off after 30 minutes of inactivity, which is a big plus for me because I'm constantly paranoid that I've left my flat iron plugged in and I'm going to burn down the house. But my favorite feature is the plate guard - it slips on like a cap so you can just throw your hot-as-hell styling iron into your bag (or wherever) without fear that it'll singe up all of your stuff. Love that!
Jessica is going to love it too. Congrats, girl!
Many thanks to ghd for sponsoring this giveaway and to everyone who entered. Check back tomorrow for Spoiled Pretty's next giveaway!

ghd Iconic Eras of Style Giveaway!
ghd and their global brand ambassador Katy Perry are reinventing styles from the most glamorous eras to create gorgeous looks with a modern 2011 twist. The new Iconic Eras of Style limited edition collection includes three limited edition sets that allow you to reinvent iconic looks from the most dapper decades.
Inspired by old Hollywood beauty, the Glamour set allows you to create captivating soft curls straight from the 1950's silver screen.
The Boho Chic set provide all of the tools you need to become a 1970's Bohemian beauty. With soft beachy waves and a glowing natural complexion, Katy Perry encapsulates this enchanting look with radiant inner confidence.
Inspired by this season’s color blocking trend, the New Wave set creates rad waves and curls. It's an 80's revival!
Each set includes the sleek ghd Gold Professional 1" styler. The styler has contoured plates that create straight and curved styles. The plates heat up quickly, the device beeps when it reaches your desired temperature, and turns off after 30 minutes of inactivity – so you never have to worry that you’ve left it on and your house may be on fire. The styler comes with a plate-guard that protects the hot plates when the styler is switched off, allowing you to safely pack them away without damaging your belongings. Also included in the set are two sectioning clips and a step-by-step booklet showing you how to recreate iconic styles at home.
Each set is accompanied by a heat-resistant purse that is representative of that era: black satin evening clutch in the Glamour set, brown fringed clutch in the Boho Chic set, and black studded clutch in the New Wave set.
This week, Spoiled Pretty and ghd are teaming up and giving away one Iconic Eras set. A lucky winner will get to choose the set of her choice: Glamour, Boho Chic or New Wave! This prize package is worth $240!
To enter, leave a comment below and tell me which set you would like to win. Be sure to post your email, Twitter handle (make sure you're following @spoiledpretty so I can DM you) or some other way for me to get in touch if you win. Contest open to U.S. residents only.
Contest ends on Monday, July 11 at 5pm ET. I'll announce the winner then. Good luck!

Snag Jessica Alba’s Bangin’ New Do
Want to snag Jessica Alba's bangin' new styles? Read on...ghd Artistic Ambassador Andy Bodine shares how to recreate her look using an array of ghd products…
Look 1: Sleek & Sassy
If you’re born with natural texture in your hair like Jessica, you’ll need to use an iron to get hair looking this sleek. Start off with a lightweight product, like ghd thermal protector, which protects hair from the heat of your styling tools. The formula also controls static and brings out your hair’s natural shine. On hair with medium length, I use the ghd IV styler to straighten strands from root to tip. To prevent the style from looking too stiff and straight, slightly curl the ends inward. The ghd IV styler is great for this since the ceramic plates are beveled and float (meaning they have more give when you use it to curl, which prevent dents or lines in the hair). For Jessica’s fringe, I would use the ghd IV mini styler which comes with ½” plates that are great for using on shorter styles. After using the styler, apply just a small amount of ghd shining serum to smooth the cuticle and you’re ready to show off your sleek, sassy style.
Look 2: Textured & Tousled
If your hair is like Jessica’s and naturally has a slight wave in it, after showering use a product that helps define that natural wave. I use ghd texture lotion on hair when it’s still slightly damp. The formula is great at defining and piecing out your hair’s natural texture without looking or feeling too stiff. Use a diffuser with your blow dryer when drying the rest of your hair to prevent frizz, then apply ghd sea spray which has Dead Sea salt crystals to help recreate movement in hair and also provides a good hold that lasts throughout the day.
If your hair doesn’t have the natural wave in it, try creating a loose wave with your styler. I take a section of hair and place my ghd IV styler close to the root. Once I clamp down on the piece, I turn the styler 180 degrees away from the face and slowly pull through to the ends of the hair. The more quickly you pull through, the looser the wave and the great thing about this look is that if your waves turn out slightly messy, it looks even better! Finish the look with ghd sea spray to add matte texture and you’re good to go!
