The trend of thickly lined fluttery eyes Sharmila Tagore (circa 1960s) has come back in a big way, so get your eye liner a.s.a.p. It starts out being thin from the inner part of the eye, thickening out gradually towards the outer part of the lid. It is heavy on the upper lid and lighter/non-existent on the lower lid. Eye shadows also play a major part in creating this look - dark and dramatic are essential for the 60s look. Thick, long, fake eyelashes and white liner in your inner rims finish the look for your eyes. The rest of the face, however, should remain devoid of make-up. Lipsticks that work are the natural semi-nudes like baby pink and beige-peaches, or you can go the retro Bollywood/Hollywood route by wearing red lips as well.
