What is your favorite makeup product at the moment?
- Urban Decay's Pocket Rocket lip gloss in Timothy

TIMOTHY coral with pink glow

An all-American and future Senator, Timothy is your mother's dream come true. Skilled at fencing, rugby and sailing, he is valiant and fun. Undress him and he'll make you the next Jackie O-oh-ohhhhhhh! (source:www.urbandecay.com)

For some reason, I find these lip glosses really funny. I laugh whenever I see an almost naked buff guy on print or in real life like those tanning boys at Imats lol. I know, I'm weird like that ^_^

You can get Timothy at Sephora and Urban Decay's website.

Thanks for reading my blog!!!

Make-up Trend: Under Eye Smoky Eye

In the pages of the latest issue of Vogue India, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan was seen in an innovative application of eye shadow. Rather than sweeping it across her lids, make-up artist Mickey Contractor kept her eyes neutral and dabbed a metallic slate eye shadow under her bottom lashline with a silvery white shadow in her inner corners. It's simple and smoky in an unexpected and undeniably sexy way!

Rec: M.A.C Print Eye Shadow

Make-up Trend: Gray-Green Smoky Eyes & Peachy Cheeks

To match her gorgeous emerald green dress, Freida Pinto sported some gray-green smoky eyes at the premiere of boyfriend, Dev Patel's new movie, The Last Airbender. To get her look, blend an olive green eye shadow all over the lids, and then apply a light gray in the creases. "The look was applied so when Freida opened her eyes we see more gray, but when she looks down we see green", said her make-up artist, Jeffrey Paul. And with just a touch of mascara and black eye liner she was red-carpet ready!

UPDATE: For the premiere of The Last Airbender in New York City, Freida Pinto's makeup artist Jeffrey Paul created a sensual but low-key look. "I wanted summery makeup that was warm, inviting and sexy, but still current and modern," he said. "I gave the cheeks a translucent glow with a bright orange cheek stain. It was sheer and shimmer-free, so it enhanced the skin with a dewy, not glittery, finish."

IMATS 2010 Makeup Haul.

Hey guys, I just wanted to share the things I got at the International Makeup Artist Trade Show at  Pasadena, California on Saturday June 26th, 2010. I'm glad I went because I had the best experience and I can't wait to go again next year! I was hoping to meet some of my blogger friends but I only saw and met one.

I didn't get a lot of things. I went in prepared with a list and got the things that I really needed. Also, I had a huge headache half of the time because the people walking around was making me dizzy lol.

Graftobian Makeup Artist Skin Care Series
Oxyderm
I'm really excited to get this product because I've been lemming on this for a long time now. I've seen RenRen of Makeupbyrenren used it in one of her videos and its recommended by the Emmy Award winning celebrity makeup artist Kevin-James Benett as one of the best moisturizers out there in the market.

It's a great base to use. It's great for all skin types and it has skin care benefits like Shea butter to soft and heal and grape seed extract for antioxidants. Also, it has silicone to fill in fine lines and wrinkles on the face. I got it fot 20 bucks and it retails for 25.

Graftobian Anti-Shine HD foundation primer
One of the makeup artist at the Graftobian booth really sold me on this one. I took her word for it since, I've never heard or seen any reviews about this product so I took a chance in buying it.

You apply this product right after you moisturize the face. It's supposed to control the oil on the face through out the day and prevent your face from looking like a grease ball. I got it for 20 bucks and it retails for 25.
You can get it at http://www.graftobian.com

The cream has a thick consistency

No name brand spoolies for 50 cents each. I needed a new one.

No name brand 28 Neutral Palette. Its the same thing as the 28 neutral palette from Coastal Scents and the one from Ebay.

I love how it has a mix of shimmery and matte colors, great for everyday neutral or smokey looks. Also, great for bridal makeup. I got it for 20 bucks!

Beauty Blender, the ultimate makeup sponge applicator!
I can't wait to try this one. I'm a big fan of applying foundation wet because the foundation adheres to the skin better and this sponge is the perfect tool. You're supposed to use it damp/wet and it helps your foundation blend into the skin nicely and evenly making you look poreless and flawless, perfect for HD. I got it for 19 dollars and it retailed for $25.80

its pink and its cute!!!
you can get it at http://www.naimies.com/

Thanks for stopping by!

Good Grief!

My computer is acting up, so writing and posting is becoming more of a challenge than it should be. I think it's almost time for a new laptop....a purchase I've been avoiding all stinking year long. Ugh.

Anyway, since technology is not my friend, I leave you with a quick beauty quote for the day. Be sure to check back in tomorrow for a Beauty Product of the Week!

In the meantime...I think you'll get a kick out of this:

"The average woman would rather have beauty than brains, because the average man can see better than he can think."

Kim Kardashian Getting A Wax Figure

Today, Kim Kardashian finally revealed the mystery behind this photo she posted on her blog a few weeks ago...

"I've been keeping you guys in the dark about my big announcement and teasing you with my #karwax tweets… but I can finally reveal that I am getting my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds in NYC!!!!

This is one of the greatest honors ever and I am so thrilled and excited. Now I will never have to leave NYC… I’ve officially gone bi-coastal! LOL"

Okay...you know I love Kim and all, but does she really need a wax figure? I guess the better question is why people create wax figures in the first place. I mean, what is the point? Will you go see Kim's wax twin next time you're in NYC?

Blush Blast From The Past: Benefit CORALista

You know what’s almost as fun as a new beauty product? It’s when you re-discover an oldie but goodie that you forgot that you had.

For the past several weeks, NARS Blush in Torrid has been step 2 of my three step/minute makeup routine (step/minute 1 being Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara and step/minute 3 being either Lancome Juicy Tubes 100% Natural Origin in Rose Pretty, Avon Glazewear Lip Gloss in Rave or Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss Stick in Nude Almond topped with Make Up Forever Fascinating Lip Gloss in #10). But this morning, I decided to switch it up and go fishing in my bottomless basket o' blushes. What I came up with was Benefit CORALista Blush – and after sweeping it on my cheeks and admiring myself in the mirror, I can't believe I ever let CORALista slip my mind.

It imparts the most gorgeous, coral-pink glow that looks ab fab on a multitude of complexions. What I love most about CORALista is how effortless it looks; it applies like a dream and the blush actually looks like it's coming from within. Another reason to put CORALista on your shopping list? Coral happens to be the it blush shade right now (ladies, if don't know…you betta ask somebody ).

Oh, and did I mention that the blush – besides looking fantastic – smells fantastic too? It has this light floral scent that, while completely unnecessary, is totally genius. CORALista comes with an applicator brush, but for best results, I like to apply with my ecoTools blush brush.

Kristen Stewart Debuts Red Hot Hair at Letterman and NYC Eclipse Premiere

Fekkai Celebrity Stylist Adir Abergel transformed Kristen Stewart's tresses from day to night (for her David Letterman appearance and the New York premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), and collaborated with Marie Robinson to color her hair strawberry blonde.

DAY: Abergel created a feminine and flirty style for Kristen's David Letterman appearance.
GET THE LOOK: Abergel started by applying the Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip at the roots and working throughout the hair. Using a round brush, he blow-dried the hair straight, and spritzed the Fekkai Advanced Brilliant Glossing Sheer Shine Mist for added shine. Adir curled the hair using a 1-inch curling iron, and sprayed with Fekkai Coiff Ocèanique Tousled Wave Spray to create the flirty texture. He then pulled the hair back loosely and secured it by knotting at the nape of the neck. To finish of the look, Adir sprayed Fekkai Advanced Sheer Hold Hairspray.

COLOR: Adir teamed up with Clairol Celebrity Stylist, Marie Robinson, to dye Kristen's hair strawberry blonde. Abergel encouraged Stewart to return to her natural roots, and pulled images from the 1950's for inspiration.
GET THE LOOK: To achieve Stewart's strawberry blonde color, Abergel suggests using the Fekkai Salon Color 6R Copper-Lucy.

NIGHT: Abergel created a soft and romantic braid for Kristen Stewart’s Premiere in New York for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
GET THE LOOK: Abergel started by applying the Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip at the roots and dried her hair with his hands. Next, Adir applied a dime of Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant Piecing & Forming Wax for added texture. Creating a side part, he braided the hair across the side line towards the opposite side of the head. With his fingers, he carefully pulled pieces of hair to soften and shape the face. To secure the look, he tied the hair into a loose knot. Adir sprayed Fekkai Advanced Sheer Hold Hairspray for all night hold.

Fekkai products are available At fekkai.com, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue.

Beautiful Feet

Having cracked or bleeding feet is never desirable to anyone. All of dream of a pair of beautiful feet that can be flaunted in the most stylish pair of stilettos. If you wish to get such beautiful feet, you need to know how to care for your feet. Setting aside some time from your daily schedule, about half an hour, for a regular foot treatment will keep them healthy and beautiful throughout the year. The time that you provide to pamper your feet will help you to forget about the day-to-day worries in a great way. Read on to know about the foot care tips that will make beautiful foot.

• Apply a foot scrub every day, preferably after a tiring day at work. You can either make a scrub at Beauty Tips or simply buy one that contains essential oils. Massage the ingredients into your feet, and leave on for 5-10 minutes. Wash off with warm water. This method is helpful when it comes to saving time as well as getting the desired effect.

• Use a moisturizer everyday on your feet, after bath and before going to sleep, carefully massaging into the dry areas, nails and the cuticles. This will keep the feet feeling soft.

• If you suffer from feet that ache from pressure, then there are natural remedies for aching feet as well. For this, you need 4-5 drops of essential oil of tea tree, 3-4 drops of essential oil of cypress and 1-2 teaspoons of jojoba oil. Mix all the ingredients together, pour into a large bowl or bucket of warm water, place your feet in the water and leave on for 5-10 minutes. After this, step into a bucket of cold water in which, a cup of green tea has been mixed.

• A foot massage before going to bed would help relieve you feet of stress. For this simply warm colorless sesame oil or olive oil and massage into your soles and toes with both your hands. Put on cotton socks and go to sleep.

• Another way of caring for your feet to keep them beautiful is by walking barefoot on pebbles. This would stimulate acupressure points on the soles of the feet, dispensing health benefits throughout the body.

• Sometimes girls feet suffer from painful corn. Getting rid from these corns will help you in having most beautiful feet. Soak your feet in warm water and add pinch of salt. Gently rub corn affected area with coarse emery board. Cut a fresh pineapple and put the piece over the area for 5 to 10 minutes. The enzymes present in pineapple will help the skin faster in dissolving the corn.

• Add half cup of sugar, one teaspoonful of baking powder and one fourth teaspoonful of poppy seeds combined with ten drops of lemon juice. With the help of vegetable brush, scrub your feet thoroughly and rinse. Follow this twice a week to possess most beautiful feet.

• You can also get beautiful foot with paraffin wax. This ingredient is know for making your feet soft and supple. Paraffin wax clears the clogged skin pore and increases in blood circulation. Thus with open pore, your skin will absorb required moisture and you get beautiful woman feet.

• A nice foot tonic can help you in getting beautiful girl's feet. You can make an effective tonic with a cup of milk combined by one teaspoonful of mint leaves, peppermint extract and rosemary. Apply this mixture and keep for 10 minutes. Wash off and say “my beautiful feet.”

Health Kick!

I'm on something of a health kick these days. I'm trying to eat better, take my vitamins and exercise very regularly. And so far, things are going great: I've lost weight and am discovering new muscles on a daily basis (thanks, Jillian Michaels and your crazy 30 Day Shred!)

I've mentioned several times that we need vitamins and minerals to keep our skin looking great and our bodies doing what they're supposed to (click here for an older post about this topic). The list of things we need to ingest to look great seems huge--almost daunting. That's why vitamin packs are so convenient.

I recently received a Nutritional Supplement Pack from iQ Derma Firmaceuticals along with their Firmaceuticals Body Firming Gel. The box contains 30 daily pouches of vitamins and minerals designed to promote total skin and body wellness. The vitamins work in conjunction with the firming gel to help sustain a healthy metabolism.

Each pack contains one each of the following:
  • Multi-Vitamin Supplement - to provide essential metabolic functions and antioxidant protection
  • Mineral Supplement - to aid metabolism and boost skin's overall health
  • Vitamin E - to neutralize free radicals with antioxidants and condition the skin from the inside out
  • Thermogenic Supplement - to aid in the processing of proteins, carbohydrates and fats

  • I usually take a women's one-a-day with my breakfast, followed by calcium and Vitamin D at lunch and dinner, but I am willing to go a month with the iQ Derma vitamin pack. I plan to start it in July and will report back on my experience.

Have you ever used vitamin packs? What do you think of them? Do you see any improvements or do you think you just end up with expensive urine?

Makeup Mondays With Mario: Too Light Undereye Concealer?

Celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic is answering your burning beauty questions!!! Every Monday, he will answer a beauty/skin care question as part of a weekly column on Spoiled Pretty, Makeup Mondays with Mario.

    Hey Mario...

You have a gift that would make any woman feel a little more confident after you've worked your 'magic'.

My question is how come the concealer under my eyes looks fine in the mirror when I put it on, but in photos it looks ghastly white?!? I can't figure it out.

I use Laura Mercier camo concealer and then pat Makeup Professional translucent powder over to set it. What gives???

    Thanks,
    Michelina

    Michelina,

A lot of people make the same mistake with going too light under the eyes. It's no secret that I like to highlight and lighten that area of the face but there's a pretty fine line between bright and white. Try using a concealer and/or powder that is a shade darker. Also, check to see that your loose powder doesn't have light-reflecting or shimmery pigment in it. To the human eye, it's difficult to see - but the bright flash of a camera will catch it and magnify it. Another thing to try is to not use too much product where it's opaque. Instead, apply with a lighter hand. It's always good to take pics of yourself with a digital camera to test it out and see how you will look. Hope this helps.

Thanks for visiting Makeup Mondays with Mario!

    xo,
    Mario

P.S. Watch out for my Imats experience video and haul

    What's Old is New Again!

Recently I've noticed something of a trend: older brands that have since faded away are making a comeback. Let's get a bit nostalgic and check out the newest incarnations of once loved, possibly forgotten products.

    PERT HAIR CARE
I have a rather scandalous story centering around a bottle of Pert. No, I am not going to share this story...I don't want to incriminate myself of otherwise sully my reputation.

Anyway....I remember using Pert, the milky-green shampoo in the huge green bottles--as a kid. My mother bought it for us instead of sexier, spendier products like Pantene. Pert did it's job--it cleaned our hair with abundant lather and a super clean scent.

I never noticed that Pert vanished from store shelves, but it's making it's way back! They offer a 2-in-1 formula that combines shampoo and conditioner. At $4 or so, Pert is economical and (thanks to the 2-in-1) time saving.

    FINESSE
I don't think I ever used Finesse products, but I do remember their jingle (Feeling beautiful...nothing less than beautiful...Nothing Less Than Finesse!) so I wasn't aware that Finesse disappeared over the years.

Now, Finesse has been restyled and is offering up a slew of products for all sorts of hair care issues. I received a sample of Finesse shampoo and conditioner, and I must admit--it has made my hair very soft. Plus it smells fresh--and it costs less than $7.00. Welcome back, Finesse!

    AQUA NET
Like many of its former hard-core users, Aqua Net has something of a bad reputation. Mention the brand name, and I bet you instantly think of 80s hair metal bands. Back in the 80s--when I was a kid--I was very into ballet. Once a year, I'd have a huge ballet exam where every move counted. I had to have perfect posture and not a single hair could be out of place. My mom used to pull my hair back into the tightest bun known to (wo)man, secure everything with a gazillion bobbi pins, and then spray the holy hell out of my head.

Well, slap on the spandex because Aqua Net is back, bitches! And I say: Embrace it! Aqua Net is wicked cheap--you can pick up a gigantic bottle of the stuff for about $3.50--and, as we saw in the 80s, it has the power to defy gravity. If you're looking for kick-ass hold and you don't want to spend a ton of money, Aqua Net is your answer.

    Iridescence II

Between celebrating my 29th birthday and watching Germany beat England in the World Cup, I actually managed to cram in some make up pictures and I'm really happy with them! I bought some nail art sequins on friday and tried to recreate their iridescence on my lids as well. I also included some of the sequins - this looks cooler in real life, as the light always changes and they capture the light differently. I also used some turquoise mascara on my lower lashes which was more obvious than it appears in the photos...

(Will add product list later on...)

    Tips For Makeup

    1. The best way to know which make up will bring out the best in you and which will not, can only be determined through trial and error method. So, do not hesitate to experiment with cosmetics and colors until you find the right one for yourself.

    2. Knowing the product range that suits your skin type is very essential. Do not compromise on cosmetics, you will be applying these directly on your skin and your skin is delicate.

    3. You can experiment with different shades of eye shadows and blushers, and plan makeup in a way that would complement your hair color.

    4. Getting the right makeup tools is also an important part of makeup. So you must always ensure that you have make-up sponge, powder brush, blusher brush, eye shadow brush, eyebrow tweezers, lip brush and eyelash curlers in your cosmetics bag.

    5. For your eye make up, choosing eyeliners that would suit your eye color would be the best idea. You can use kohl or kajal to enhance the shape of you eyes. Application of false eyelashes and eye shadow will enhance the effect.

    6. Never wear make up for long stretches of time. Remember your skin needs to breathe. If you have to use make up very frequently, have a rigid cleansing, toning and moisturizing routine in place. This will help to keep your skin firm, and radiant.
    7. While applying any kind of foundation or base make up, use a cosmetic sponge, slightly dampened, to blend it well onto the skin. Always give all angles of your face a final check in the mirror to ensure that no unnatural lines are showing.
    8. If you are using more than one shade of base make up to highlight the different areas of your face, make sure that the shades are merged well. The two shades should not stand out.

    9. Always keep stick, liquid or cream concealers handy. These are great ways of hiding blemishes, scars and dark spots on your face. Apply on the area concerned (under eye regions too) after application of foundation. Finish it off with a dash of powder to give the well blended look.

    10. Choosing lip-gloss and lipsticks is another integral part of ensuring you have the correct makeup. Opt for ones which have moisturizers in them to keep your lips nourished. One of the popular lip make up application techniques is to dust your lips with a light powder. Outline your lips with lip liner and use lip brush to fill in with lipstick. Blot over tissue paper to make your lipstick last longer and also to get a matte finish. Choose colors that complement both your hair and skin color. For more hair tips surf the beautytipshub.

    Perimenopause symptoms

Perimenopause is the period after after a woman has experienced menopause. This typically happens around the age of 45 and all women have different symptoms they experience. Perimenopause is something that can happen and take place for a period of up to ten years before the actual onset of any menopause symptoms. It is true that more women tend to hate the fact they have to go through menopause, but it is a part of life and they all have to experience it some time. Perimenopause symptoms tend to start appearing before the age of 51. They can come sooner or they can come later, that really depends on the woman and her body.

There are many changes that can take place with a woman’s body such as emotional, mental, and physical changes. Most of the changes take place due to the fact that there is a decrease in hormones and other rapid changes in chemicals in the body.

With all that mentioned above going on, there are going to be some unwanted symptoms that can happen. The symptoms of perimenopuasse can start 10 to 15 years before your cycle actually stops. Some of the most common symptoms are going to be experienced in your late 30’s, early and late 40’s and for some women in their early or late 50’s. When you begin to hit any of those ages listed above, there are signs and symptoms that you may notice such as, irregular bleeding. You may a couple of cycles a month or skip a couple of months.

Heavy bleeding has been reported by some women. When they has their monthly cycle, the reported that their menstrual flow was much heavier than they had experienced before.

You may also begin to experience hot flashes or what some people refer to as hot flushes. There are periods when you are feeling extremely hot and can sometimes wake up to a soaked bed. These symptoms pretty much just appear whenever.

You may experience a disturbance of your sleeping patterns. You may fell that you do not any sleep at all or you may have times when you feel as if you could sleep your life away.

Headaches have been reported as well as dry eyes. Both of those symptoms can be very irritating but can be treated with over the counter medications.

You may also experience vaginal changes such a dryness. Dryness can be fixed by over the counter solutions. Vaginal dryness can cause sexual relations to be very uncomfortable and you may want to consult with your physician to if something may be able to be done as well.

Other things that you may notice can include a mild hair loss, weight gain (mostly water retention ) and a loss of libido (loss of sexual desire). All the symptoms listed here are the most common ones that women tend to report.

There are less common side effects that have been reported. Some of these are short term memory loss, lack of concentration and being able to focus. You may have fuzzy thoughts, and an inability to multitask. You may also suffer from anxiety, fatigue and in some patients depression has been reported. One of the main signs and symptoms of perimenopause has always been severe mood swings.

It is always important that a woman’s body is always on the change and is never going to be doing the same thing at one time. During perimenopause, the range of hormones is always going to be changing such as going up and down at different times. Basically once you start perimenopause or menopause, you are going to be a constant swing of changes and never feel completely normal again.

Luckily though, there are treatments that are becoming more available everyday for patients to take. Working with your physician is a great way to get help and information on how to relieve your symptoms or maybe even stop them completely.

It is very important that you remember, just because you are experiencing perimenopausal symptoms, does not mean that you are going to immediately be followed with menopause. The perimenopausal state can go on for many year before transgressing over to full blown menopause. There are things that can make the symptoms worse such as being over weight and other health problems that you may have developed over the years. Having poor nutrition, being under constant stress and having a lack of daily exercise is one of the main causes of perimenopause as you continue to age. Making lifestyle changes could be your best benefit to experiencing less of the effects of menopause. Try to stop smoking and drinking alcohol as those are some of the things that can have the worst effects on women.

Get The Look: Nikki Reed at Eclipse Premiere

Makeup artist Fiona Stiles created Nikki Reed's red carpet look for last night's Los Angeles premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. On her blog, Fiona writes:

"Nikki's Marchesa dress was so beautiful and feminine we went for a soft etherial look, with just a touch of girlish color on the lips. I prepped her skin with moisturizer and then a thin layer of Orlane's Eclat Absolut for a soft glow. I used a light application of foundation and a dusting of loose powder before adding a little rosy color to the cheeks, just a touch to keep it sweet. I wanted to have a light, easy eye, so I used a very light pink shadow, up just past the crease in the eye, with a little of a lavender grey over it for depth, then popped a little of the light pink into the corners of the eyes to add a little light to the face. Instead of liner I used a creamy taupe color from Ellis Faas (one of my new favorite products) near the lashes for a softer definition, then a little mascara on the top and bottom to finish it off the eyes. A matte pink lipstick gave the look an easy sweetness."

    Skin Prep:
    Yonka Pampelmousse moisturizer
    Orlane éclat Absolu (for luminosity)

    Foundation:
    Armani Luminous Silk #7

    Powder:
    Chantecaille Loos Powder in "Ray"

    Blush:
    Jouer Mineral Blush in "Rose"

    Eyes:
Cle de Peau Satin Eye Eolor #114
    Jouer "Parfait" eyeshadow
    Ellis Faas "Creamy Eyes #E107"
    Lancome Virtouse Mascara in Black
    Anastasia Brow Pencil in "Brunette"

    Lips:
    Lipstick Queen "Pink Sinner" lipstick

LOOK: Smokey Neutral Eyes and Nude Lips.

Hey everyone! I did a Smokey Neutral Eyes and nude lips. This is kind of my "I dunno what the heck I'm gonna do with my makeup" look lol. It  never fails me. It pretty much goes with whatever I wear and definitely is wearable for any occasion because it's neutral. You can tone it down or intensify the look by adjusting the black on the crease to you own liking.

For the eyes, I used colors that are close to my skin tone except for the black of course. I used shimmery nude colors using my Urban Decay Ammo Palette. I've forgotten how much I love this palette. Urban Decay makes amazing eye shadows. I applied Chopper and Sin on the lids to highlight the eyes and kept the colors above the crease and brow bone matte to balance the eye makeup. ( I have done all shimmery eye makeup in the past and it doesn't photograph very well O_o).

Tip: use the tip of the mascara wand to get into the hard to reach lashes in the inner and outer corner of the eyes.

Tip: Pick a nude lipstick close to your skin tone. You don't want washed out looking lips.

    eyes:
Almay Line Smoothing concealer in medium as a base
Mark's Powderbuff foundation to set the concealer
    Urban Decay Primer Potion
    Mark I-mark e/s in Espresso
    Urban Decay e/s in Chopper
    Urban Decay e/s in Sin
Urban Decay e/s in Oil Slick
    NYX e/s in Highlight
Mark's Keep it Going Long Wear line/shadow (black shade)
    NYX Doll Eye mascara

     face:
    Skin MD face lotion
The Body Shop Vitamin E eye cream
    Almay Line Smoothing concealer
Mark's Powder Buff powder foundation applied wet

    cheeks:
Mac blush in Melba (soft coral-peachy matte shade)

    lips:
    Carmex lip balm
Wet and Wild nude lip liner in Willow
Mac matte lipstick in Velvet Teddy. Read my review HERE

Here is a video tutorial of the look. I hope you guys like it ^_^

Get The Look: Ashley Greene at Eclipse Premiere

mark Brand Ambassador Ashley Greene and star of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse made her mark last night at the movies LA premiere at the 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival. Celebrity Makeup Artist Vanessa Scali shared her top makeup tricks for creating Ashley’s stunning look.

    Inspiration
"We wanted to create a soft, glowing goddess look to complement her beautiful Alexis Mabille Couture dress. The overall look was golden skin, soft blushed cheeks, champagne shimmer and a softly lined eye."

    Face
"I prepped Ashley's skin by applying mark Primed for Perfection Face Primer all over Ashley's face to create a nice, even canvas. I like the skin to look flawless but real, so I always use foundation and concealers sparingly. With Ashley, I used mark Speedway Do Everything Makeup in Natural. I applied it with the mark Foundation Brush and then blended it with my fingers. Using my fingers to blend heats the product just a bit and leaves a seamless finish. Next, I applied mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Light/Medium under her eyes."

    Cheeks
"I wanted to create a nice luminous glow, so I started by applying just a touch of mark Get Bright Hook Up Highlighter in Natural to the top of her cheekbones, down the center of her nose and the bow of her top lip. Next, I applied mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder in Pro Glo to her temples, under her cheekbones and under her jaw line to lightly enhance the bronze in her natural skin tone. Lastly, I used mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Peachy on the apples of her cheeks for the perfect healthy flush."

    Eyes
"For Ashley’s eyes I started by using mark I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadow in Nomadic to create a champagne shimmer all over her eyelids and under the bottom lashes. Next, to define and elongate the lash line, I lined her upper eyelids with mark Keep It Going Longwear Eyeliner and Shadow in Entourage (Black Shade). For a touch of added depth, I used mark Get in Line Hook Up Waterproof Eyeliner in Painted Black at the very base of her lashes. I finished with a few generous coats of mark Lash Splash Hook Up Waterproof Mascara in Black."

    Lips
"For Ashley’s lips, I started by using a dab of mark Kiss Dry Goodbye Lip Smoother to give her lips a touch of moisture. I then used mark Kissink Liptint Marker in Berry to define the outer edge of her lips and smudged the color into the center."
