To compliment the resort feel of Deepika Gehani's collection, make-up artist Cory Walia worked a natural look with one strong element of color. He describes the look and feel as happy, happy eyes, happy cheeks, happy skin glowing in natural tones suggesting a hint of peach and pink."
To begin the look on the models, Cory Walia began by prepping skin with a facial cleanser (Philosophy Purity Made Simple High Foaming Daily Cleanser) and non-astringent toner (Ole Henriksen Pick Me Up Face Tonic) that cleans the complexion without stripping away natural oils. He follows that up with a lightweight moisturizer (Philosophy Hope In A Jar) that leaves skin soft, not slick, and tops with a liquid foundation (Make Up Forever HD Invisible Cover Foundation) that delivers a semi-matte sheen.
"There is just one element of color on the face – a block of metallic eyeliner in emerald green (Yves Saint Laurent Liquid Eyeliner in Emerald Reflections), drawn across the eyelid," he deconstructs the young, quirky look. Moving on to the lips, he dabs them with foundation to drain any natural color, then applies a coat of peach gloss (Stila Lip Glaze in Peach).
