On the opening day of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, metallic textures was already being etched out as one of the biggest cosmetic trends for spring. "I used a combination of shimmer and cream textures around the eyes," said make-up artist Ambika Pillai, who was working to Surily Goel's youth-quake vibe with silver lids (Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Uzi) and fuchsia lips (NARS Lipstick in Funny Face).Ambika began by evening out the skin tone with foundation (Make Up Forever HD Invisible Cover Foundation). Next, she brushed metallic silver shadow liberally on to the lids, advising, "The best brushes are domed and fluffy, which makes the shadow easier to apply." (M.A.C Adoring Carmine Brush Sets) With the eye color in place, Ambika brushed the lashes with volumizing mascara (Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara) and perfected brows with a pencil (Anastasia Go Brow - Universal Brow Pencil). She then enhanced the cheekbones with a contouring and highlighting powder duo (Benefit 10), before patting a fuchsia color on the lips.
