March 2011 Birchbox Opening.

Yay for another Birchbox! It's my 5th one and I still get excited lol. I actually don't keep track of the shipping date, so I can be surprised when I get it in the mail ^_^. By the way, if it's your first time on my blog and you've never heard of Birchbox, then you need to click HERE. It's a monthly subscription service where you get 4-5 deluxe samples from different high end beauty brands for only $10 a month. It gives you the chance to try the products out before investing on a full price. But you don't have to. You can just enjoy all the monthly samples like I do.

The theme for this month's Birchbox is UPGRADE. Read the card below.

Dr. Denis Gross, Alpha Beta Glow Pad. A self tanner pad with exfoliating and anti-aging ingredients. This product sounds exciting, but I won't be using it since I'm already tan ^_^. I'll probably inlclude it in a future giveaway!
Full price: $32 for 20 pads.

Pangea Organics, Lip Balm. Now this lip balm is full size. Awesome. It has lavander, cardamom, organic essential oils, beeswax and vitamins to moisturize, soothes dry and chapped lips. How do I know this? It says it on the infor card ^_^. I've never heard of this brand before, but it sounds really promising. I'm currently using my EOS lip balm and loving it, but I'm gonna try this to see how it compares.
Full price: $12

Alchimie Forever, Kantic Mask.  This fluffy, souffle-like mask is packed with antioxidants. It's supposed to hydrate and brighten the skin. It's a tiny sample. I can probably get 2-3 uses out of it.
Full size: $60

Marvis, Classic Mint toothpaste. I totally didn't expect toothpaste. Cool. Beauty Junkees have to take care of their teeth too right? Imported from Italy and according to Birchbox "this is the most luxurious toothpaste you'll every try". I can't wait to try this!
Full size: $10.50

Pangea Organics Facial Cream. It has Nigerian Ginger with Lavander and Thyme. It's supposed to purify, soothe, restore and nurture the skin. It's a small sample, so I'll probably get 3-4 uses out of it.
Full size: $36

Birchbox Treat: Brown Brush: I was hoping for another chocolate treat like Sweet Riot choclate nibs from last month's Birchbox. But this one is cool. I can always use another brow brush in my makeup kit. I can use it blend colors when I fill in my brows.

Once again, I'm very pleased with this month's Birchbox. I've never heard of all these brands before and I can't wait to try them out. Man, I always say that for every Birchbox I get lol.

Naturally Beautiful: Nordstrom Goes Green

Just because you’ve embraced an eco-friendly lifestyle doesn’t mean that you need to trade your Manolo Blahnik for Birkenstocks. And just because you prefer your skincare to be chemical-free doesn’t mean you have to purchase products in a health store/head shop that reeks of patchouli. Just in time for Earth Day, Nordstrom is going green.

Last month, Nordstrom launched its new "Well Beauty" counters in 25 stores – and a virtual counter on Nordstrom.com. Rather than zip from counter to counter looking for natural products, Well Beauty is one-stop shopping your organic beauty needs.

Featured brands include Origins Organics, Juice Beauty, Pangea Organics, Korres, Caudalie and CARE by Stella McCartney. Products were chosen because they are paraben, petro-chemical free and sold in recycled packaging. And there will also be a full-time staff member at the Well Beauty counter to answer questions and direct customers to the products most appropriate for their skin.

To find a Well Beauty counter near you, contact your local Nordstrom store. To shop online, click here.
