Just got my June's Birchbox today! Like always, Birchbox never fails to excite me. I feel like it's my birthday every month! The theme for June is TRAVEL. Included are hand picked vacation-ready products that will make a girl look fresh and pretty where ever they may be.

As always, every Birchbox I get is nicely packaged.

Kate Spade Twirl. Again, I've said it many times that I'm not a perfume person. However, I appreciate it everytime Birchbox includes a sample of the latest perfume in the market.

Laura Geller Baked Blush n' Brighten. I was so excited when I saw it. It's my first Laura Geller blush. You can use it as a blush to warm the cheeks or highlighter to add glow to the face. Super pretty!

It reminds me of MAC Miniralized Skin Finish blushes/highlighters.

NUXE Ultra Comfortable Body Cream. Never heard of this brand before. According to Birchbox it has natural honey and macadamia nut oil to moisturize the skin. It smells amazingly delicious!

Sircuit Cosmeceuticals Molecular Mist. I'm excited to try this out. It's like MAC's Fix+, but better!!!

Deborah Lippmann Stripper To Go Nail Lacquer Removers. According to Birchbox, "It erases polish without drying out nails." I'm not a nail polish girl, so I will give it to a friend ^_^

May 2011 Birchbox: Jouer, Erno Laszlo, Bvlgari, Archipelago

Hey guys, it's that time of the month again, Birchbox! If it's your first time on my blog and you don't know what Birchbox is, then you're in luck. Birchbox is a monthly subscription company where you get 4-5 deluxe samples from a variety of high end beauty brands. It's a great way to try a product before you buy it. It's only $10 a month, and they put so much effort into each package, so you won't be disappointed. Go to their website to learn more Birchbox.com

For some reason, my Birchbox came late. I've already seen post from other bloggers on their Birchbox last week, while I barely got mine today. No biggie. I just got a bit worried that it might have gotten lost in the mail. Here are the stuff I got.

1. Jouer Mini Tinter Lip Enhancer- A satiny moisturizer with healing vitamin E and shea butter, plus plumping peptides. This is my second Jouer product from Birchbox.

2.Erno Laszlo Transphuse Night Serum- A wrinkle-fighting wonder from the cult skincare brand. This is also my second Erno Laszlo product from Birchbox.

3.Archipelago Pomegranate Soap- A triple-milled soap loaded antioxidant-rich white tea and pomegranate to gently clean hands and body. This soap smells soooo good. I'm really excited to try this out because it has Pomegranate and I love anything with Pomegranate ^_^.

4.BVLGARI Mon Jasmin Noir- The Italian fragrance house's winner has waves if ripe fruit with a base of heady Jasmine. I've said it before that I'm not a fragrance person, but I'm pretty excited with this sample because it's my first product from Bulgari.

Extra: Jouer luminizing moisture tint

Extra: Free Greeting Card by Tiny Prints and coupon.

It's a $10 Toothpaste

Thanks to my March (Upgarde Your Essentials) Birchbox, I was able to try the most expensive toothpaste I've ever used in my life lol. I've never heard of the brand Marvis before, so I went back to the Birchbox website to learn more about it.

According to the Birchbox website:
"Imported from Italy, this stylish toothpaste makes brushing your teeth anything but routine. The invigorating peppermint flavor is extra zippy and keeps your breath fresh all day. Plus, the apothecary-chic tube dresses up the bathroom sink."

I honestly don't pay attention to what kind of toothpaste I use. We use Aquafresh or Colgate in my house because it's what my mother buys. As long as it cleans my teeth, makes my breath fresh, has a minty flavor and affordable, then I'm okay. I tried a sample Marvis Classic Minty toothpaste, and I didn't really see or feel anything special that will make me go crazy and rave about it. The minty flavor was not as strong as described. I was expecting an invigorating minty freshness, but it was just okay.

On the other hand, I don't hate this toothpaste. In fact, I appreciate it's simplicity. It's a classic white toothpaste that cleans the teeth and helps prevents cavities, tooth decay, tartar and plaque. I like how it doesn't leave my teeth feeling gritty and the design on the tube is pretty cool. But is that enough to make me purchase the full size for $10? Maybe not.

LOL at this pic. It lathers nicely with a small amount ^_^

Eco Friendly Products

It makes me so mad when I lose my photos! I took a lot of photos of my April Birchbox package.  I remember editing and storing them in my Picasa, but now I can't find them anywhere O_o Anyway, I took new photos and here they are.

This month's Birchbox is honoring Earth Day which was last Friday (I know I'm so late). To celebrate, they included Eco friendly products that helps the environment and will make us look good at the same time. This is pretty exciting because I will get to try a lot of organic, eco-friendly products that I've never heard before.

1. Extra: Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair Eye Treatment- I was happy to see Juice Beauty included in this month's Birchbox. I tried one of their face wash a long time ago and I remember loving it. Hopefully, this eye repair will be a good one.

2. Zoya nail polish in Caitlin- I'm not a nail polish person at all, but this shade is soo pretty. It's a purple gray with a glossy finish.

3. LIV GRN-Earth Eau de Parfum- According to Birchbox, it has hints of Jasmine and Sandalwood. I'm so bad at describing scents, but I can say that it smells really nice (sorry I suck!).

4.Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Facial lotion- Organic lotion rich in anti-oxidants and vitamin A and E, which soften and protect the skin.

5. Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel- An organic peel consist of natural fruit acids which gives a brighter and smoother complexion.

6. Extra: Bloomin Seed Paper- I've never seen a seed paper before. I didn't even know it existed lol. Plant this paper in soil, give it a little bit of water and watch it grows into wildflowers. Now that's cool!

Zoya nail polish in Caitlyn. I tired it on my niece's nails and it's sooo pretty! I think I'm just gonna give it to her lol.

I'm so happy with all the products I got. I'm not big on the whole organic and Eco-friendly products, but I'm sure glad I was able to help the environment even just a little bit by purchasing this month's Birchbox.

March 2011 Birchbox Opening.

Yay for another Birchbox! It's my 5th one and I still get excited lol. I actually don't keep track of the shipping date, so I can be surprised when I get it in the mail ^_^. By the way, if it's your first time on my blog and you've never heard of Birchbox, then you need to click HERE. The theme for this month's Birchbox is UPGRADE. Read the card below.

Dr. Denis Gross, Alpha Beta Glow Pad. A self tanner pad with exfoliating and anti-aging ingredients. This product sounds exciting, but I won't be using it since I'm already tan ^_^. I'll probably inlclude it in a future giveaway!
Full price: $32 for 20 pads.

Pangea Organics, Lip Balm. Now this lip balm is full size. Awesome. It has lavander, cardamom, organic essential oils, beeswax and vitamins to moisturize, soothes dry and chapped lips. How do I know this? It says it on the infor card ^_^. I've never heard of this brand before, but it sounds really promising. I'm currently using my EOS lip balm and loving it, but I'm gonna try this to see how it compares.
Full price: $12

Alchimie Forever, Kantic Mask.  This fluffy, souffle-like mask is packed with antioxidants. It's supposed to hydrate and brighten the skin. It's a tiny sample. I can probably get 2-3 uses out of it.
Full size: $60

Marvis, Classic Mint toothpaste. I totally didn't expect toothpaste. Cool. Beauty Junkees have to take care of their teeth too right? Imported from Italy and according to Birchbox "this is the most luxurious toothpaste you'll every try". I can't wait to try this!
Full size: $10.50

Pangea Organics Facial Cream. It has Nigerian Ginger with Lavander and Thyme. It's supposed to purify, soothe, restore and nurture the skin. It's a small sample, so I'll probably get 3-4 uses out of it.
Full size: $36

Birchbox Treat: Brown Brush: I was hoping for another chocolate treat like Sweet Riot choclate nibs from last month's Birchbox. But this one is cool. I can always use another brow brush in my makeup kit. I can use it blend colors when I fill in my brows.

Once again, I'm very pleased with this month's Birchbox. I've never heard of all these brands before and I can't wait to try them out. Man, I always say that for every Birchbox I get lol.

As always, the packaging is super cute with the colored paper and ribbons. It's these little things that makes the package special.

Bare Minerals, Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara. I've never tried anything from this line, so I'm pretty excited to try this out. It's supposed to give your lashes serious volume and intensity. We will see...

Befine, Exfoliating Brown Sugar Cleanser. I've never heard of this brand before, but I love exfoliating products, so I'm excited to try this out too. Since I don't have sensitive skin, I don't think I'll have a problem with it.

Nars, Orgasm Illuminator. OMG, no freakin' way! I'm so happy they included a product sample of this cult favorite brand that I can never afford haha. It's a peachy pink highlighter or illuminator that supposed to add a nice glow to your face.

Pomega5, Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer. Once again, a brand that I've never heard of, but I'm already liking the fact that it's mattifying and it has anti-oxidants. I kind'a wished the sample was a little bigger though.

Sweetriot Chocolate-Covered Cacao Nibs. This is the Birchbox treat. I know it's not a beauty product but it's pretty neat that included this in the package. Anything chocolate is cool with me ^_^

I'm happy with this month's Birchbox, and I can't wait to try these all out.
