Precious Flowers

This look was done using gold foil all over the lid on top of metallic gold eyeshadow and adorned with little flowers (originally meant for the nails):

Healers Touch

Jewelry inspired

I got this lovely pair of earrings from a little shop in Turkey, run by a british lady who made and sold all kinds of cute and funky jewelry -and decided to use them as an inspiration for today's look because I love the reddish purple with the glitter and little flecks of colour:


And this is the corresponding make up. The pictures don't even do Tapir justice - it's such a lovely colour, deep and smouldering but not too heavy. It is a little more reddish than it looks here and almost looks matte in the jar but develops a subtle highlight once applied.

Magic

Before anyone asks me: NO, I did not wear that look out. Truth is, it was not made for going out. Make up for photograpy - especially macro photography, obeys rules somewhat different from "what to put on to look good at work today"? You have probably noticed that most of my looks are not of that kind - I like to experiment and to create something new - not limiting myself to make up that makes me "look better". In addition to that, for me make up and photography (including editing) are two parts of a whole - creating an aesthetically appealing image. I guess realism is not really my thing...:)

Oasis

I'm not feeling very inspired lately, so I just come up with whatever crosses my mind - this time, I got out some Pure Luxe colours again and threw them together. It's Oasis in the middle, Diviant at the sides and Voodoo super liner to darken the edges.

Iridescence

Recently, while cleaning up my Pure Luxe collection, I came across "Enchanted" and knew instantly that I would have to do a look with it again! It's a fabulous colour and I haven't used it for so long... So I decided to do something all with duochromes and iridescent colours: I applied PL Enchanted in the middle of the lid and framed it with Barry M. Aqua Gold. Then I defined the inner crease with Chartreuse and the outer corner with Orchid and All Girl:






Please excuse the fact that the lashes are all crooked - I only realised they had completely lost their shape when they were already sticking to my lids :S

New Year's Look

Happy New Year to all of you! I hope everyone had a great night yesterday and got safely into 2010! Here are a few of my New Year's resolutions:

• Lose weight! (around 10 kilos)
• Travel (London trip in march and USA trip in may are already booked, further plans: maybe Ireland in april, a weekend in Paris and Madrid and possibly Indonesia in november!
• Clean out my wardrobe to make room for new stuff
• Write more posts on my Phantom blog
  
• Get a hamster
• Tidy up my place more often
• Devote more time to studying
• Invite friends whom I haven't seen in a while
• Buy less make up and use the stuff I already have instead
  

It's snowing again outside and I'm having a pretty lazy day at home - time to dig out the brushes again :) I haven't felt inspired to do much make up in the last week and have been busy doing other stuff - but then I came across some long-lost Pure Luxe shadows in my old room and decided to give them a try! It's Ecstasy on the lid with Super Liners smoldering and Pin-up in the crease, plus a matte orange colour from the Zoeva palette above the crease.

The eyeliner is actually dark blue - I wanted to buy a black one but grabbed the wrong one in the store :/ I also added some holographic rhinestones to the pattern in the outer corner and a tiny bit of MAC Reflects Antique Gold in the inner corner.

Pink Polka Dots

Do you love polka dots as well? Then why wear them only on your clothes? They look great on the eyes too (:!

I created this look using a matte light pink and matte light seafoam from the 88 Mattes palette. I applied pink on the inner half of my lid, and then added the seafoam on the outer half, going up to my eyebrow in a rather defined line. To add the polka dots, I used some Pure Luxe Brat wet with a small brush and dotted the colour on top of the seafoam. Repeat below the lower lashline and finish off with some winged black liner and white kohl on the waterline, as well as a pair of Red Cherry lashes:
