Back in June, I blogged about Pornpichit sharing some of his tips and tricks to look as good as the celebrities did at the IIFAs. Here he goes again sharing some more of his clipboard notes on the look him and Vimi decided for the IIFAs.
In preparation for the prestigious event, Senior Make-up Artist for M.A.C Cosmetics Pornpichit Khumnguen offers some tips and techniques for creating the Bollywood look.
"In the past, Indian actresses used to put on layers of foundation and powder with the result that they always looked over made up. Today, they prefer more of a natural look but one that still gives them full coverage and highlights their facial contours," he explains.
"A simple technique is to use M.A.C Coppertone Blush - for the contours then fill in with M.A.C Pink Swoon Blush for a rosy look," says Pornpichit
For the smoky eyes favored by the new generation of Bollywood celebrities, he advises playing with brown and gray, using plenty of M.A.C Blacktrack Fluidline and finishing off with M.A.C Plush Lash Mascara
If you're worried about smudges, the M.A.C 266 Small Angle Brush allows for easy application.
For a gorgeous pout, line the lips using M.A.C Plum and M.A.C Spice Lip Pencil then add some M.A.C Clear Lipglass
"The Indian Film industry is a strong guide to upcoming trends. The Bollywood look communicates a sophisticated oriental culture," Pornpichit notes.
