LOOK: Wet n' Wild Dramatic Navy Blue and Shimmery Green eyes with Nude lips.

While everyone is out and about on St.Patrick's night, I'm at home playing with makeup. How fun O_o. I created a makeup look using the Wet n' Wild ColorIcon Eyeshadow palette in Pride...again! This time, it's a dramatic...very dramatic eye makeup using the shimmery green on the lids and matte navy blue shadow on the crease. I love how this palette has a mix of both matte and shimmery shades making it easy for me to create a strong and well balance eye makeup.

As you can see, I extended the navy blue shadow above my natural crease. This gave the eyes a very strong and dark look.

I used Wet n' Wild ColorIcon eye shadow palette in Pride. If you don't have this palette then just use similar colors you have in your makeup kit.

eyes:
-Prime the eyes with NYX shadow base in skin tone. This will help the shadow last longer.
-Apply the shimmery white in the inner corners of the eyes with a pencil brush.
-Apply the shimmery green all over the lids passing above the crease and the inner half of the lower lash liner. with ELF Studio Line shadow brush.
-Apply the matte navy blue  on the outer V with a damp ELF $1 blending brush dragging it above the crease, stopping half way. Wetting the shadow intensified the color.
-Apply shimmer blue on the outer half of the lower lash line.
- Lightly apply the shimmery green on the egde of the navy blue with ELF $1 blending brush. This will help blend the edge of the blue a little, so it's doesn't too harsh.
-Line the eyes with Stila Smudge Pot in black, curl lashes and apply false lashes.

face:
-Clean the shadow fall out with baby wipes. You want a clean face before applying foundation.
-Even out the skin tone with MAC Fix fluid liquid foundation (NC42) using ELF Studio Line foundation brush.
-Apply Almay Line Smoothing concealer under the eyes and blemishes.
-Set the face with powder. I forgot to do this step. Silly me!

cheeks:
-Apply Wet n Wild ColorIcon blusher Pearlescent Pink on the apple of the cheeks with a MAC stippling brush. It's a peachy pink with gold specs, very similar to Nars Orgasm blush.
-Apply Milani Mosaic blush in Afterglow under the cheek bones with an angled blush brush. This will define the face and give it a slimmer appearance.

lips:
-Moisturize with EOS lip balm in Summer Fruit. Let it soak into the lips.
-Line the entire lips with Wet n' Wild creme lip liner in Willow.
-Then top it off with ELF Minty lip gloss in Los Angeles. It's a bright pink shade with gold shimmers.

LOOK: St. Patrick's Day Makeup with Wet n' Wild

Here is another eye makeup look using my Wet n' Wild ColorIcon eye shadow palette in Pride. This is my second time using this palette and I'm really loving it. (Click HERE to see my Mermaid inspired look using this palette). I'm amazed how the shadows are pigmented and very easy to blend. I still can't believe I only paid $4.99 for this awesome palette.

For this look, I was inspired by the gorgeous green shadows in the palette to create a fun St. Patrick's Day eye makeup. I used a matte green and shimmery light green on the eyes and paired it with a soft pink nude lips. Speaking of St. Partick's Day, are you going to celebrate it? I will probably wear green that day just to avoid getting pinched by the kids at work lol. They take that stuff seriously you know?

I used my Wet n' Wild Coloricon eye shadow palette in Pride.

eyes:
-Prime the eyes with NYX shadow base in white. The white base will help intensify the color.
-Apply shimmery white on the tearduct/inner corners. This will give the eyes a brighter look.
-Apply shimmery light green shadow on the inner 1/3 of the lids and inner 1/3 of lower lash line.
-Apply matte green shadow on the rest of the lids passing the crease and lower lash line. Pat the shadows to get better color pay off.
-Blend the edge of the shadow on the crease with a fluffy blending brush to get rid of harsh lines.
-Apply matte white shadow on the brow bone for highlight.
-Line the upper lash line and water line with Mark Eye Marker in Jet.
-Curl lashes and apply a generous coat if Maybelline Falsies Volum' mascara on the upper and bottom lashes. This will really open up the eyes.

face:
-Take off the fall out from the shadows with baby wipes.
-Re-moisurize using The Body Shop Intense Moisture cream.
-Even out the skin tone with MAC Studio Fix fluid (NC42) with a foundation brush.
-Conceal blemishes and dark circles with Stila Perfecting concealer.
-Set the face with Mark's Powder Buff foundation (Golden).

cheeks:
-Dust ELF Studio Line blush in Candid Coral on the apple of the cheeks with a stippling brush. I don't like this blush. The color doesn't show up too well in person O_o.
-Apply Milani Mosaic blush in Afterglow under the cheekbones with an angled blush brush. This will give an illusion of a slimmer face.

lips:
-Apply Pangea Organics lip balm and let it soak into the lips. This stuff is amazing by the way. I will do a review very soon.
-Line the lips with Wet n' Wild lip liner inWillow. This will prevent the lipstick from bleeding.
-Apply Wet n' Wild Matte lipstick in Pink Suga all over the lips. Blot with tissue and re-apply.

Wet n' Wild Mega Last lipstick Pink Suga on my lips. It's a soft pink with a demi-matte finish.

This look is very bright and fun. I would recommend wearing this look during night time. But if you want to sport it during the day, I suggest toning down the green shadows especially on the lower lash line.

Becky

Wet n Wild ColorIcon Mermaid Inspired Eye Makeup

The first thing I did when I got home from work was play with my new Wet n Wild ColorIcon palette in Pride. Pride consist of some gorgeous matte and shimmery blues, greens and whites. They are all surprisingly pigmented, smooth and very easy to blend. I can't believe I only paid $4.99 for this palette...pure craziness!

There are so many looks I can do with this palette, but I ended up creating a smoky/shimmery blue and green eyes that reminds me of a mermaid. I love the shimmers in these shadows. They show up really well on the eye lids.

The colors may appear washed out on photos because of the flash of the camera. But in person, they're so bright and vibrant.

I used the Wet n' Wild ColorIcon palette in Pride

eyes:
-Prime your eyes with NYX shadow base in skin tone. This will prevent the shadows from creasing
-Apply the shimmery green on the crease and 1/3 of the lower lash line.
-Apply shimmery blue all over the lids and the rest of the lower lash line.
- Use a blending brush and blend between the blue and green until you see a smooth transition between the two colors
- Apply the shimmery white in the inner corners using a pencil brush to give the eyes a brighter look.
-Highlight the brow bone with the matte white shadow.
-Line the eyes with Stila Smudge Pot in black, curl your lashes and apply kkcenterhk false lashes in A103 for a dramatic effect. Click HERE to see more looks using these lashes.

For the false lashes, I used ES in A103. This was sent to me for free to try out. I've used it on previous makeup looks, and I really  love it. It was easy to use and very affordable. Get yours on http://www.kkcenterhk.com/

cheeks:
-Apply Wet n' Wild Coloricon blusher in Pearlescent Pink (a peachy pink shade) under the cheek bones to contour the face.

lips:
-Apply EOS lip balm in Summer Fruit and let it soak into the lips.
-Finish off the look with Revlon Colorburts lipstick in Peach. Peach lips matches so well with the green and blue eyes.

I'm really happy with this palette and I'm going to do more looks to show you how awesome it is.

LOOK: Summer Acid Brights...Pixiwoo Inspired makeup

One of my favorite makeup gurus on youtube under the username Pixiwoo (sisters makeup artist Samantha and Nicola from the UK) did a makeup tutorial inspired by the "Trend: Summer Acid Brights". The makeup look was so bright and beautiful on Nic that I was immediately inspired to do the same look. She did an extremely bright lime green eyes and coral orangey lips. It looks crazy but I LOVE it!

I just want to point out a couple of things. Whenever I do an inspired makeup look, I try to incorporate my own thing or style...you know, tweak it a little here and there to make the look my own. So my version from Nic will be a bit different. Also, there is no way I'm trying to look like Nic. I'm just a really big fan of her and her sister's makeup skills...they're amazing!

 haha..uneven false lashes..oh nooo!

Kat DeLuna Makeup Inspired Look..Whine Up Music Video

Yes, it's been forever since I posted a makeup look. Shame on me! Thanks to one of my subbies who requested a Kat DeLuna makeup inspired look from her music video Whine Up, I was able to get back in the game. If you're not familiar with Kat and her song, I posted the music video at the end of this post so you can watch it. The song is quite old but it's a really a good one. I love it lol. It's one of those songs that gets stuck in your head after hearing it a couple of times lol.

Kat wore different makeup looks in the music video but the one that stood out the most was her bright metallic apple green eyes with heavy black eye liner, nude lips and glowy dewy face...so hot! Too bad I couldn't find a decent photo of her makeup but you'll see it in the video so make sure you watch it.

A little cam whoring...

In the video, if you look closely at her eye makeup, there was a little bit of gold peeking out behind the green  so that's why I added gold e/s on the outer crease to achieve the similar look.

clumpy lower lashes...oh nooo!!!

I used these eyeshadows for my eyes.

To achieve Kat's dewy and glowy face, I used Milani e/s in Classic Beige. I applied it with a stippling brush to highlight my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose and a little bit on the forehead. You can use a highlight powder but a shimmery beige eyeshadow works just as well^_^

Contest Entry: Bright Green and Yellow Summer Makeup

I have never done a super bright makeup look like this ever!!! It's a really Bright Green and Yellow Summer Makeup look and it's my contest entry for Makeupbyrenren or RenRen's Bright Summer Makeup contest on youtube sponsored by Palladio cosmetics. Like what I said in my video entry, I really don't care of I win or not. I'm just excited for the fact that Renren is holding this contest because I love ren ^_^

I chose the colors greens and yellows with a pop of turquoise blue-ish for my eyes because those are my favorite summer colors and I matched the look with some purple-y pink lips ^_^  It's super bright and super fun^_^ . Oh and, I have to apologize for the quality of the face pics. Those are still shots from the video.

I used almost all the colors from my 120 eye shadow palette that I got from ebay. I have a love hate relationship with this palette. Some colors are amazingly pigmented and some are not. Tip: Use patting motion when applying these eye shadows to deposit the color better and to get less fall out.

I mixed NYX round lipsticks in Lala (nude purple) and Power (Bright Pink) for my lip color.

Milani 3d lipgloss in Fashion Diva. I applied it on top of my purple-y pink lips.

face:
-The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture
-Alba Green Tea eye gel
-Sedona Lace concealer palette
-Revlon Photo Ready foundation
-Derma Blend setting powder

eyes:
-120 Manly eye shadow palette from ebay

-NYX Jumbo Pencil in Yellow
-Urban Decay eye liner in Zero
