Yesterday, Nicole Richie popped by the Cosa Mesa Bloomingdale's to promote holiday pieces from her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line - and debuted a brunette do.
After the event, Nicole tweeted "OH! & P.S. I went brunette. I feel smarter already."

New York Fashion Week: Spotted - Nicole Richie and Kate Bosworth!
After I got my hair (Warren Tricomi) and makeup (Smashbox) done at the Fashion Week Daily Suite, I headed over to Bryant Park to drink coffee and people watch. Imagine my surprise when I spotted Nicole Richie and Kate Bosworth emerging from the Promenade within minutes of each other.
Nicole's hair really is to die for...the cameras don't lie. And Kate graciously posed for pictures as a thousand and one photogs shouted her name and blinded her with flashes.
Unfortunately, while I had my head on a swivel, I didn't have my camera at the ready. Hopefully, these won't be the last star sightings at New York Fashion Week, Fall 2009.

What’s New Pussycat? POP Beauty Cat Eyes!

I’m no pro makeup artist. But there’s one beauty technique that I’ve got down pat - the elusive cat eye. It requires patience and a steady paw…but once you put in a little practice, a fierce fe-lined eye isn’t far off.
But what if practice doesn’t make perfect? What if your finished product is more Amy (Winehouse) than Angelina (Jolie)? Don’t claw your eyes out just yet. POP Beauty has just the product to produce a purr-fect cat eye.
POP Beauty Cat Eyes is a uniquely slanted eye crayon. Simply press it into the skin and follow the lash line - and it makes the perfect flick at the end, which is key to perfecting the look.
Go from "I don’t know how" to MEOW!
I was particularly impressed by how effortless it was to create a cat eye with this liner. The creamy texture of the crayon simply glides across the skin. And no more worrying about the uniformity of the wings at the outer corner of the eyes...with Cat Eyes, they're a perfect match - every time.

Cat Eyes isn’t deeply pigmented, so if you're looking to create a Nicole Ritchie-esque eye (I‘m obsessed), here's what I recommend:
* prep the lid with a primer* Line the eye with Cat Eyes
* Trace over the line with a liquid liner
* Apply two coats of your favorite volumizing mascara
POP Beauty Cat Eyes comes in three colors (Black Onyx, Black Dahlia, and Black Olive) and is available at Sephora, amazon.com, dermstore.com, and popbeauty.co.uk.
