Nutty and Good To Go

I did a makeup look featuring Wet n Wild ColorIcon single eye shadow in Nutty and MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go. I wore this makeup to work yesterday and got a lot of compliments from clients and co-workers. I've had Nutty for awhile now and I can't believe I waited this long to try it. It's so velvety and smooth and applies like a dream. Good To Go is one of the lipstick my cousin gave me. It's a loud bright orange shade. I never thought I would wear orange lips, but once I did, I loved it!

Nutty is a gorgeous shimmery taupe eyeshadow. Velvety and smooth.
Good To Go is a bright orange lipstick. Shockingly gorgeous!

GET THE LOOK
Wet n Wild ColorIcon single eye shadow in Nutty is the main shadow I used.

eyes:
-Prime the eye lids with NYX eye base in white. Make sure you use a little and you blend well.
-Apply MAC eye shadow in Cork (muted brown) above the crease with a fluffy blending brush.
-Apply Wet n Wild ColorIcon single eye shadow in Nutty (shimmery taupe) all over the lids with a shader brush.
-Apply Mark eye shadow in Espresso (matte brown) on the outer corner blending it to the crease with a small blending brush.
-Add definition to the eyes by adding Milani single eye shadow in Storm (shimmery black) on the crease with a pencil brush. Don't put too much.
-Blend the colors together with a clean blending brush.
-Apply Wet n Wild ColorIcon single eye shadow in Brulee ( matte beige) on the inner corners and brow bone.
-Line the upper lash line with Physicians Formula felt tip liner in brown.
-Line the water line with Stila Smudge Pot in black and smudge it on the outer half of lower lash line.

face:
-Take off the shadow fall out on the face with a baby wipe. You want a clean face before applying face makeup.
-Apply MAC Studio fix fluid (NC42) all over the face with a wet sponge. Using a wet sponge will give a sheer coverage.
-Conceal slight dark circles with Almay Line Smoothing concealer in medium under the eyes.
-Set the makeup with MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural in medium deep. This will help the makeup last long.

cheeks:
-Dust MAC powder blush in Melba (matte peachy pink) on the apple of the cheeks with a blush brush.
-Apply Milani Mosaic Powder blush in Afterglow (bronzer) under the cheekbones with an angled blush brush. This will contour the face, giving it a slimmer appearance.

lips:
-Apply EOS lip balm in Summer Fruit to moisturize the lips.
-Apply MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go  (bright orange) on the lips.
-Highlight the center of the lips with Wet n Wild ColorIcon single shadow in Brulee (matte beige). This will make the lips looks fuller, almost cartoon like.

MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go

I'm wearing MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go and Wet n Wild ColorIcon single shadow in Brulee in the center of the top and bottom of the lips. This gives a 3D effect for a pouter lips. It's almost cartoon like. ^_^

Spotted: LipFusion, ELF and Wet n' Wild makeup at Ross.

Nothing makes me more excited than spotting great deals on makeup and stuff. I went to my local Ross (a discount store) yesterday and spotted EyesLipsFace, Wet n' Wild and LipFusion gift sets. Now, keep in mind the inventory at Ross sometimes varies from store to store, so don't be upset of you can't find them. I just want to show you what you may find. Also, I have never tried them before, so I can't tell you if they are good or not.

ELF Shimmer Lip Gloss Collection $4.99.

ELF Super Glossy Lip Shine $4.99. According to other blogger friends, these lip glosses are great. They're pigmented and not too sticky ^_^.

Wet n' Wild Eye Sensation 4 $4.99

Wet n' Wild Eye Sensation 1 $4.99. It includes an eye pencil, brow essentials, liquid eye liner and plump mascara. Awesome deal!

Wet n' Wild Ultimate Minerals $4.99. It includes 4 mineral eye shadows.

Wet n' Wild Lip Sensation Diamond Brilliance lip gloss $4.99

Wet n' Wild Glassy Gloss $4.99. The packaging is so cute!

LipFusion Infatuation lip gloss $9.99. This travel sized lip gloss used to retail for $25, so $10 is such a great deal.

Go to your local Ross to see if you can find them ^_^

Review/Swatch: Wet n' Wild Mega Last lipstick

Love, love, love these Wet n' Wild Mega Last lip colors. They are my new favorite in my ridiculous growing makeup collection. These semi-matte lipsticks has amazing coverage, long lasting and non-drying. They're definitely a huge upgrade from their Silk Finish lipsticks which I remember being a bit streaky and sheer. I must say Wet n Wild have stepped up their game.

I've used them in previous makeup looks I've done, and I'm so pleased with the quality. The coverage is opaque and you only need one swipe for the color to show. The texture is interesting. It's not too creamy, yet smooth enough to glide on the lips without tugging. This is great because creamy lipsticks tends to bleed outside the lips, but not this one. It also sticks on the lips for a long time and doesn't have a waxy taste like most cheap lipsticks have. It doesn't even taste anything at all.

On the other hand, there are some things that I don't like, but not really a big deal. I don't like the packaging. It looks nice and sleek and I like the fact that it's thin, but the product doesn't twist all the way down. This means I have to be very careful when opening and closing to prevent nicking the product (which I have a couple of times). Also, they don't have the actual names, but rather numbers on the label. This makes it harder for me to remember them. But like what I said, it's not a big deal.

It comes in 20 gorgeous shades and I own 4 in
Think Pink, Smokin' Hot Pink, Pink Suga and Ravin Raisin

Swatched twice on my arm

901 B Think Pink is a soft pale nude shade. It reminds me of NYX round lipstick in Strawbery Milk, but not as pale (Strawberry Milk makes me look dead lol). I can wear this shade and it doesn't look too washed out against my tan skin. I just make sure I put a pink or peachy gloss on top to tone it down.

905D Smokin' Hot Pink. It's more brighter in person. Love it!

900B Pink Suga. This looks like a concealer stick in the tube and a peach nude in the swatch, but it actually comes off more like a soft pinky nude on the lips. This one can make me look dead and washed out, so I make sure I don't apply too much. I just dab it on the lips until I get enough color.

916DP Ravin Raisin. Ahhh..this is my favorite from them all. I love plums and purple lips and this is the best shade against my tan skin, in my opinion. It's a reddish/brownish purple shade. It's so pretty!
