Swatch/Photos: MAC Pro Long Wear Lip Cream in Good To Go.

I'm quite excited about this post. I don't really get to post a lot of MAC makeup in this blog because I only own a few MAC products and I don't keep up with a bunch of their collection. But recently, I acquired a lot of MAC makeup, thanks to my cousin Maryanne (See all the stuff I got HERE) and now I can show you some swatches, mini review and photos of all MAC stuff that I got.

Here is a MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go (MAC introduced Pro Longwear Lipcreme back in September of 2010 to it's permanent line up ). It looks like a bright red orange in the tube and swatch, but it's actually a bright orange shade on the lips...like really bright! At first, I was a bit intimidated by the color. I thought, there was no way I was going to pull off orange lips. It was the same fear I felt when I first tried red lips. But once I had it on, I instantly fell in love!

It's a bright "in yo face!" kind of orange, but I love it because it doesn't look clownish or cartoonish. It's best worn with a neutral/light eye makeup, so it could really stand out. It has a smooth and creamy texture, and it covers the lips with one and a half coats. It also last for a long time without fading or feathering. I wore it to work and I didn't notice any fading until I got home, which was about 7-8 hours later. Now that's pretty good!

Here is what Good To Go looks like on my lips. Like what I've said, for some reason it looks red orange in photos, but it's really a bright orange in person. Super bright!

This lipstick retails for $16 at your local MAC counter. Now, that's pretty expensive for my poor budget, but I can definitely say that's its worth the investment if you decide to get one yourself. The quality and the gorgeous shade is definitely worth it.

Nutty and Good To Go

I did a makeup look featuring Wet n Wild ColorIcon single eye shadow in Nutty and MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go. I wore this makeup to work yesterday and got a lot of compliments from clients and co-workers. I've had Nutty for awhile now and I can't believe I waited this long to try it. It's so velvety and smooth and applies like a dream. Good To Go is one of the lipstick my cousin gave me. It's a loud bright orange shade. I never thought I would wear orange lips, but once I did, I loved it!

Nutty is a gorgeous shimmery taupe eyeshadow. Velvety and smooth.
Good To Go is a bright orange lipstick. Shockingly gorgeous!

GET THE LOOK
Wet n Wild ColorIcon single eye shadow in Nutty is the main shadow I used.

eyes:
-Prime the eye lids with NYX eye base in white. Make sure you use a little and you blend well.
-Apply MAC eye shadow in Cork (muted brown) above the crease with a fluffy blending brush.
-Apply Wet n Wild ColorIcon single eye shadow in Nutty (shimmery taupe) all over the lids with a shader brush.
-Apply Mark eye shadow in Espresso (matte brown) on the outer corner blending it to the crease with a small blending brush.
-Add definition to the eyes by adding Milani single eye shadow in Storm (shimmery black) on the crease with a pencil brush. Don't put too much.
-Blend the colors together with a clean blending brush.
-Apply Wet n Wild ColorIcon single eye shadow in Brulee ( matte beige) on the inner corners and brow bone.
-Line the upper lash line with Physicians Formula felt tip liner in brown.
-Line the water line with Stila Smudge Pot in black and smudge it on the outer half of lower lash line.

face:
-Take off the shadow fall out on the face with a baby wipe. You want a clean face before applying face makeup.
-Apply MAC Studio fix fluid (NC42) all over the face with a wet sponge. Using a wet sponge will give a sheer coverage.
-Conceal slight dark circles with Almay Line Smoothing concealer in medium under the eyes.
-Set the makeup with MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural in medium deep. This will help the makeup last long.

cheeks:
-Dust MAC powder blush in Melba (matte peachy pink) on the apple of the cheeks with a blush brush.
-Apply Milani Mosaic Powder blush in Afterglow (bronzer) under the cheekbones with an angled blush brush. This will contour the face, giving it a slimmer appearance.

lips:
-Apply EOS lip balm in Summer Fruit to moisturize the lips.
-Apply MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go  (bright orange) on the lips.
-Highlight the center of the lips with Wet n Wild ColorIcon single shadow in Brulee (matte beige). This will make the lips looks fuller, almost cartoon like.

MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go

I'm wearing MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go and Wet n Wild ColorIcon single shadow in Brulee in the center of the top and bottom of the lips. This gives a 3D effect for a pouter lips. It's almost cartoon like. ^_^

Velvet Teddy matte l/s by Mac and lost FOTD

When in doubt of what lipstick to wear, go for a natural looking nude lips that matches your skin  tone. You can never go wrong because it matches any eye makeup and will give you a beautiful and natural look My favorite natural nude lipstick is Velvet Teddy by Mac. It's has a matte finish, meaning no shimmer, shine or iridescent to it. It's the perfect shade for my medium skin tone.

I haven't tried a lot of  matte lipsticks from different brands, but I think Mac makes great matte lipsticks. The texture is smooth and the coverage is great. It's also long lasting and it won't dry your lips as long as you apply a good lip moisturizer/lip balm underneath.

 great with a neutral eyes

and smokey eyes too! (old post on black smokey eyes)

Lost FOTD
I did something really dumb! I did a look today and I accidentally deleted the photos I took while I was uploading them into my computer O_o. On the other hand, I managed to save one so I can still show you all the look. It was a pretty neutral purple for everyday wear. Sigh....I really wanted to share the details of the look with you guys. Oh well...I guess I'll have to do it again lol.

Thank you so much for the positive feed back and sweet comments on my youtube videos. They're not the best and I'm still trying to get the hang out filming myself while doing makeup but I'm having so much fun doing them lol.
