Hair Trend: Twisted Bun

To try Sonam Kapoor's famous Cannes hairstyle, follow these easy steps, on either side of your head, roll back the strands along your hairline, adding more hair as your work your way backwards, just like you do with a French braid. (Tuck in a few pins if you find the twists are heavy and tipping forwards.) Wrap the two twists into an untidy bun and secure with pins and elastic. This style isn't meant to look prim, so don't worry about asymmetries or imperfections.

Hair Trend: Sideswept Bangs

Diya Mirza made her bangs more versatile this winter by growing them out on the latest issue of Andpersand. This way you can push them off to the side or pin them off of the face. Before you blow dry, prep hair with a styling aid to give them a little hold and flexibility. Aim the nozzle of your blow-dryer down and away from your face, and mist your bangs with hairspray to keep it in place.

Hair Trend: Big Bouncy Curls

On the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar India, Freida Pinto dressed up a pale pink dress with thick, lush curls. If hot rollers feel like too much effort, simply wrap freshly blown-out strands around 2-inch rollers. Once the hair has fully cooled, remove the curlers and brush through to keep the spirals from looking too-perfect.

Hair Trend: Bumped-Up Hair

In a still from her new movie Robot, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan swept her hair back for a clean and futuristic look. If you're thinking about getting bangs but are afraid they limit you, get inspired by Ash's style. Gently teasing the roots before brushing them back creates a precise and elegant effect. Hold that style all day with some hairspray, and you're ready to go!

Hair Trend: Mini Braid

On the cover of the first issue of Adorn Magazine, Sonam Kapoor sported a mini braid with a messy bun. To get her look, take a one-inch section of hair from the hairline and start by French braiding it for about two inches; then let the braid hang loosely as you continue the braid to ear-level. Secure it to the head with a bobby pin and pull the rest of the hair back into a messy bun and using a tail-comb take out a few strands of hair in the front and curl them.

Hair Trend: Sleek, Shiny Hair

On the cover of the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar India, Deepika Padukone sports a straight, swingy hairstyle. To get the best results with your own hair, consider taking a tip from the pros: Shampoo twice to remove all traces of residue from your hair shaft. The first wash removes product build-up, the second whisks away dirt and impurities—and ultra-clean hair dries ultra-bouncy.

Hair Trend: Classic French Twist

To get Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's hair at Raavan's London Premiere, her hairstylist took inspiration from icons of the 50's-60's when he created this utterly sophisticated style. Use a styling cream to smooth the hair and prevent frizz before parting it on the side. Then he teased the hair all over and rolled it into a French twist, securing it with bobby pins.

Hair Trend: Curled Ponytails

Known for her statuesque body, Sameera Reddy inspires a new wave with her hair, with a sleek, coiled ponytail on the cover of Jade Magazine. To get her look, start with completely smooth, straight hair, and pull hair back into a low ponytail. Curl the your ponytail with taking hair farthest away from your face into two-inch sections. Use a one-inch barrel curling iron. To prevent locks from going limp, wait five minutes before touching each tendril released from the iron.

Hair Trend: Glossy, Shiny Hair

For her appearance on the CW Morning Show in New York City, new mom Padma Lakshmi showed off radiant skin and hair. To keep your strands luminous, watch what you eat—studies have shown that foods rich in olive oil, omega-3 fatty acids and protein contribute to the growth of healthy, shiny hair. Supplements containing Omegas 3 and 6 (Borage Seed Oil) increase hair shine and vitamins B, C, and Cystine promote healthy hair and nail growth.

Hair Trend: Easy Breezy Waves

On the latest issue of Savvy Magazine, Deepika Padukone showed off an easy and sophisticated hair-do. The key to achieving these waves is to build a good foundation, which will help the hair from falling flat. To get the look, apply styling mousse, blow dry the hair, and add random spirals with a 1-1/2 inch curling iron. The middle parting gives it modernity and movement. This is a great hairstyle for women who don't like to fuss too much with their hair.

Beauty Talk With Priyanka Chopra

Good looking means:
I would define it as someone who is ‘comfortable’ in their own skin! I think more than good looks, it’s a person’s attitude and the way they dress that determines how they are viewed.
Her skin care regimen:
It’s simple! Cleansing, toning and moisturizing everyday and drinking lots of water.
Her hair care regimen:
My hair is very healthy and naturally strong and shiny. Because of my profession, my hair is battered and abused! Therefore, I make it point to oil my hair regularly and shampoo and condition it as well with Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner. I trim my hair once in about 2 months or as and when I feel the need and avoid highlighting my hair.
Her favorite make-up, hair and skin products:
I use YSL Luxurious Mascara, M.A.C Studio Fix Powder, M.A.C blushes, The Body Shop Lip Balms, Clarins HydraQuench Cream. Aloe Vera is great for the skin. I love Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner.
On bad hair days:
When I have bad hair days, the first thing I do is send a text to my hair stylist.
When skin feels bad:
Firstly, I make it a point to drink lots of water to hydrate my skin and apply my mother’s secret recipe… a face mask!
Favourite make-up trick:
I would say highlight your assets. If it’s your eyes then applying kajal and a little liner works best. For your cheek bones, the right blush will do the trick. It’s important for one to know the colors that complement you and what your best features are.
Any make up tips:
Moisturize and when you’re confused about what to do… just keep it simple!
Her wellness and fitness mantra:
I work 19 hours a day… am over stressed, over worked and under paid!!!!! I would love to visit a spa as often as I can but with my hectic schedule, I don’t really get a chance to.
Favourite spa treatment:
I enjoy all aspects of a spa experience and don’t have a particular favourite. But if I was forced to make a choice it would have to be the Kerala Ayurvedic Spa treatment.
Her relaxation technique:
Music is very therapeutic for me. It’s something that has always been a passion.
On look Created By Jawed Habib For Sunsilk Thick & Long
Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner gives me full control over my hair. A girl’s hair is truly one of her best assets. The exceptionally trendy and stylish hairstyles created by Jawed give out a very strong message which is – If you’re lucky to have thick, gorgeous hair, show them off. My firm belief is that if a woman has thick, healthy-looking hair she is bound to get a second glance. I think these looks created by Habib do the trick—they are very striking. I make sure to pamper myself to a regular head message—it does wonders for your hair texture and feels so good. I eat healthy, drink lots of water and of course, I use Sunsilk Thick & Long with yogurt protein, which is a natural remedy for damaged hair. When you buy shampoo look for yogurt in its ingredients. Sunsilk Thick & Long has yogurt protein which nourishes hair right to the tips.

Hair Trend: Loose and Sexy Waves

I know you guys, it's the fourth Kareena post, but one can't help not notice how the woman is everywhere. Moving on, Kareena looks absolutely stunning on the cover of Femina this month.

Which woman doesn't love easy-looking, fuss-free hair? So when a glamorous Kareena Kapoor's hair actually takes 10 minutes, everyone wants to know the secret. Take a three way approach and you'll be golden: Spray, twirl and pin. Spritz strong-hold hairspray along the length of a thin section of hair. Twirl it around two fingers from the ends to the root until you have a round coil, then pin the coil at the roots. Repeat with 20 other pieces around your head, let set while you get ready and unravel the curls right before you leave the house.

Hair Trend: Sleek Straight Shiny Hair

For long-lasting sleek locks like Rani Mukherji's, prep hair with a thermal-protectant spray, separate hair into 1/4 to 1/2-inch sections, then use a comb in front of your iron to make sure the hair is smooth and straight before you put it in your flat iron. Next, add a shine gloss made with silicone and finish up with a light-holding hairspray. This gives you gorgeous stick-straight hair that humidity can't touch.

Hair Trend: Slickback Hair

For photo shoots like Minisha's, that are meant to be focused on her smoky eyes, the hair should not be the center of attention. Ted Gibson's Hair Sheet Styling Sheets add shine and hold the hair in place. Who needs a beauty squad with this easy, low-maintenance look?
