The Natural Look

Less is more and makeup is ever moving in the more natural, less pancake-ish direction. Word on the street is that the year will see more finishing products that enhance natural beauty -- nude, subtle tones rather than the heavy-baked tanned look that was 'in' back in 2007.
Make sure your skin is in peak condition -- moisturise regularly, especially before applying foundation and makeup to your face. Remember, even the best cosmetic products in the world can't compete with a glowing complexion.

Matching Palette

Matte Skin

While shiny foundation and body glitter were all the rage a while ago, the look for the new year dictates a more refined matte finish, as far as your face and skin are concerned.Keep things subtle and classy, even for a night on the town -- glossy lipstick and striking eyeshadow will look more tasteful and less overdone on a matte foundation.
