FOTN: Smoky Eyes and Pale Nude Lips...late Valentine's day look.

Smoky eyes is probably my favorite eye makeup look to do. I've done it so many times, and I love how it can dramatically change the way I look in a matter of minutes, making me look sultry and sexy... yah know?!! It's also Kiko's favorite look on me because he says, it makes may eyes look mysterious lol.

So for my late Valentine's date with Kiko, I wore black smoky eyes with nude pale lips. Usually, I prefer a more natural nude lips, but I went for a pale nude since I haven't done it in awhile. Pale nude is okay, but just make sure your lips is not lighter than your skin tone. You don't wanna look like you just ate powdered donuts right? O_o

Oh wow, one is darker than the other *shakes head*.

GET THE LOOK

eyes:
Prime your eye lids with NYX shadow base in skin tone. This will keep the shadows from creasing and fading. Apply Stila Smuge Pot in black starting from the top lash line, blending it upwards using your finger or a concealer brush. This will keep the the shadow more intense. Using an eye shadow brush, pat Milani single eye shadow in Storm (black shadow with silver glitters) on top of the black base. Then with a fluffy blending brush, apply MAC shadow in Cork (muted golden brown)  on the crease or the edge of the black shadow. Blend it wind shield wiper motion until the shadow fade upwards and the harsh line disappears. Blending is key to achieve the perfect smoky eyes, so take your time.

face:
Use a wet sponge to apply Revlon Color Stay foundation all over the face. This will give your face a sheer coverage, enough to even out the skin tone. Apply Almay Line Smoothing concealer in medium under the eyes and blend it with the same wet sponge. This will lightly conceal dark circles, making the eyes look bright and awake. Then, dust Mac Mineralized Skin Finish Natural in Medium Deep all over the face to set the makeup. This will make the face makeup last for a long time.

cheeks:
Lightly dip a blush brush on Nars blush in Orgasm (peachy pink with gold specs) and apply it on the apple of your cheeks. Nars blushes are so pigmented, so make sure you don't put too much.

lips:
Apply EOS lip balm in Summer Fruit and let it soak into your lips. Lip balm will keep your lips moisturized. Using a wet sponge, dab Revlon Color Stay liquid foundation on the lips to create the pale nude color, then top it off with ELF Minty lip gloss in Los Angeles.

Kiko and I went to The Melting Pot fondue restaurant and had the longest dinner we've ever had. It was almost 3 hours lol. Visit my food blog to red more about it ^_^

LOOK: Smoky Eyes and Red lips.

I've seen a lot of biased opinions on "Dramatic Eyes with Bold Lips". It's a general rule that one should never do both at the same time. It's clownish, it's too much and just won't work unless if it's for a high fashion look or a creative photo shoot. Well, as a beauty and makeup junkee, I believe people shouldn't limit the possibilities of creating a beautiful makeup look. Just make sure that it suits you and you love it. Heck, who cares what other people say, just be confident and rock it! Here, I did a black smoky eyes and bold red lips at the same time. It's not my go to look whenever I go out but it's something I like to do from time to time. Did I manage to make it work? I think so. ^_^

For the eye makeup, I applied a black gel liner as a base all over the lids (you can use a black eye liner pencil) and topped it off with a black shadow. Then, I used a bronze shadow to blend the edge of the black and create a slight definition on the crease.

Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow in Winter Night and Milani eye shadow

For my lips, I used Wet n Wild lip liner in Berry Red and applied it all over the lips. It's the perfect matte red shade and no need for a lipstick or gloss.

LOOK: Dramatic Black Smokey eyes using ELF Beauty Encyclopedia.

I know, I know another dramatic black smokey eyes. If you've been a long time follower of my blog then you should know that I've done this look so many times. This time I'm doing to again  using my Beauty Encyclopedia Sparkle Eye edition by ELF. I love the black eyeshadow in the palette. It's shimmery and it's packed with glitters! It's very similar to Urban Decay's e/s in Oil Slick, no joke! It's just sooo pretty!

It's a great palette to have if you're a beginner in makeup or simply a makeup junkie like me. You get a lot of eyeshadows to play with and create many looks and for the price of $5, you can't go wrong!  I'm going to do more looks using this palette to show how awesome this palette is.

Cool tips mentioned in the video
- Apply a Primer underneath your eye shadows to saturate the color
- Apply a black creamy base underneath to intensify the black eyeshadow
- Use patting motion when applying a shimmery/glittery eye shadow. Sponge tip applicators are great for this purpose. Also, you get less fall outs when you pat instead of swipe. You got it?
- Make sure you have a clean face before you apply concealer and foundation.

Thank you soo much for stopping by. I appreciate everyone's comments!!! Have an awesome Monday :)

LOOK: Smokey Cat eye with Bright Pink lips.

I love and hate summer at the same time. I'm not looking forward to the hot weather because I don't like to be hot and sweaty. On the other hand, I'm excited about the fact that I get to wear sandals, shorts, tank tops and cute summer dresses again! They've been in my closet for too long lol.

Anyway, I did a summer makeup look for night time. It would be great for a night out with your friends, clubbing or party. It's a smokey cat eye, bronze pinky cheeks with bright pink lips. Normally, I would pair a bright lip color with neutral eyes so it won't look clownish and tacky but since its for night time I made the eyes a bit dramatic by doing a cat eye and smoking it out with a black eye shadow.

for some reason I was having a really bad photo and bangs day ugh! I took so much photos and these are the only ones that came out somewhat decent lol.

EOTN: The Easiest Black Smokey Eyes.

The black smokey eyes is a very popular and classic look that will never go out of style. If done right, It can be the easiest makeup look to do. All you need are black eye liner pencil, matte black eye shadow and a light brown eye shadow (face powder can be an alternative).

eyes
-Apply a black eye liner pencil along the upper lashline. It does not have to be perfect.
-Smudge the liner with am eye shadow brush.
-Apply a matte black eye shadow on top of the smudge liner, all over the lids and on the lower lashline.
-Apply a light brown eyeshadow/face powder on the crease and the lower lashline as well to get rid of the harshlines. Dont forget to blend.
-Apply your choice of highlighter on the brow bone. A shimmery nude would be best.
-Apply false lashes (optional). It will create more drama to your eyes.

lips
It is best to do a nude lip or a lip color close to your skin tone.

-Apply lip balm to moisturize the lips. Never skip this step.
-Apply foundation to get rid of the pigmentation
-Apply a nude lip liner on the rim of the lips. Do not go pass the natural line. (This will prevent the lipstick  from bleeding out)
-Fill in the lips with the lip liner and top it off with your favorite nude lip color.
-Dont foreget to apply a gloss on top.

I hope you guys like it ^_^
