My LoVe Day

Hey everyone! How was your Valentines day? I read so may Valentines day post and, I'm glad to see that many of you had a great Love day. I love this fake holiday because it is sooo cheesy. Its an excuse to go out on a romantic date with your boyfriend and maybe get your favorite flowers if you've been a good girlfriend lol.
My love day was a bit random but a good one. My bf and I did not really plan anything.  He picked me up from work and we ended up going to The Grove because it was not far. At The Grove, we had lunch at Maggiano's Little Italy restaurant. I've been there severeal times and I really like it. It was so not so busy when we went to it was nice. My baby kos and I had a great time laughing and making fun of each other while I forced him to like his food ^_^

Afterward, we walked around, went to different shops then found out that there was going to be a a free event at the plaza. So exciting! They had Hawaiian music/entertainment, free food and lei. There were so many families, children and couples around. It was an instant date for us ^_^

Here are some of the photos.

Why do Asians throw peace signs in pictures??

Hey readers! This post is just for fun. In one of my previous posts, http://iambeautiful20.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-year-new-bangs.html
I asked everyone if they knew why Asians throw peace signs in pictures because my boyfriend wants to know ^_^. My good friend Jazya sent me a comment on facebook in reagrds to this question. I copied and pasted her comment below.

Jayza Baylon- hi becky! u know y asians do a lot of peace signs in pictures? here's the history according to my sister's japanese friend.. it all started with the japanese. they asked little kids to pose like that in pictures to promote world peace. everybody thinks it cute at the same time meaningful..so kids, teens and even adults pose like that..soon more neighboring countries like korea and taiwan follow..until it spread like swine flu all over asia esp in PI cuz of koreanovelas and chinovela invasions..lol! *kawaii* (^^,)v (i hope it answers kiko's question) happy new year to both of u. mwah!

Also, one of my blogger friend Louzee did a post about this http://listentolouzee.blogspot.com/2009/11/why-do-asians-do-that.html .Check out her blog!

Have a good one everyone!!

New Year, New BANGS!!

I got bangs!!!

Photobucket

...thanks to boredom and Rachel Ray kitchen shears! Yes, I did it myself and kitchen shears worked just fine ^_^ I still can't believe I did it lol. I have been wanting a new look without sacrificing the length of my hair and getting bangs is the way to go. I look very different and, I really love it ^_^

Photobucket
I was very careful not to cut my bangs too short so I was cutting my hair little by little. I thought about side bangs but eh... I've done it before so why not go for something totally different like straight bangs. This look is very bold and its something I never thought would work but it does and, I'm happy I did it.

Photobucket
I cut my bangs with my hair dry so I can see the real length.

Photobucket

I know they dont look perfect but it will do for now. Once it grows a bit then I will go to a salon to get them really straight.

Photobucket

eh?

I finally got to see the movie AVATAR in 3d with my boyfriend. It is really a must see! The movie had amazing special effects and, and 3d effect made it even better.

We went to Johnny Rockets for some fatty burgers and milkshakes.

I thought I post this pic of my boyfriend smiling. He's smiling!!! He never smiles in pictures. I took it when he asked me, "Why do Asians do this a lot in pictures?" then threw peace signs lol.

Does anyone know the answer to this question? Write it down in the comment ^_^ ( I'm Asian and I do it too lol)

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Pinky Natural round lip gloss by NYX and Ed Hardy Surprise.

Hey friends, I hope everyone had a great weekend ^_^ I just want to share my current favorite product. I have so many lip glosses in my makeup collection and I find myself reaching for my round lip gloss in Pinky Natural by NYX a lot. Its such a gorgeous nude pink color and it pretty much goes well with any makeup look I do.

Photobucket

NYX's round lip glosses are great . They are pigmented, non-sticky, long lasting and very inexpensive.

NYX products can be purchased at http://www.cherryculture.com/, http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/, http://www.ebay.com/, or sometimes at your local mall if they have it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My wondeful boyfriend a.k.a "baby kos" surprised me this weekend with 2 pairs of Ed Hardy shoes. He knew how much I love my really old and worn out Ed Hardy sneakers that he got me not one but two new pairs. For what? No reason at all. Christmas is not until the 25th and, I was really surprised and confused because there was no special ocassion. I guess I must have done something good or maybe It's my early Christmas present ^_^ Oh well, I'm still very thankful.

My old Ed Hardys ^_^

Photobucket

I've worn them almost everyday for a whole year. I didn't have to break them in. They were very comfortable. I also love the funky design and believe it or not, I made it match with whatever I wore ha! I even did a look inspired by these shoes for a makeup contest lol. They might retire but I'm still gonna keep them ^_^

Awesome life lessons...

Hey everyone! This is not a beauty post but I know all of you will appreciate this ^_^

I received this email not to long ago and reading it everyday helps me to remind myself that no matter how difficult life is, it's still great!

Written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio.  "To celebrate growing older, I once wrote 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone...
4. Your job won;t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument: Agreee to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's Ok to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the past.
12. It's Ok to let your children see your cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn;t be in it.
15. Everything can change in a blink of an eye. But don't worry, God never blinks.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of everything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn't kill you does make your stronger.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words "In five years, will this matter?"
27. Al ways choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a siatuation is, it will change.
32. Don't taje yourself so seriously. No one else does.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative--dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood.
38. ALl that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
39. Get outside everyday. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab our back.
41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
42. The best is yet to come.
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
44. Yield.
45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.
