This breakdown is done by celebrity make-up artist Namrata for Om Shanti Om.
Face
Cleanse, tone and moisturize. Dot M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid NC30 or NC35 over your face. This is what we used for Deepika. Do a test, checking it out in natural light. Cover dark circles/hollowed eyes, with M.A.C Studio Stick Concealer in NC20, make sure just a hint of the product is used. Too much coverage can have an opposite effect to what is desired and your eyes will end up looking dry, lined and submerged in shadows. Dust your face with M.A.C Select Sheer Loose Powder, paying special attention to the T-zone. Suck cheeks in and then, very sparingly dab on M.A.C Powder Blush in Raizin on the cheekbones. Lightly dab on, M.A.C Loose Iridescent Powder in Golden Bronze over the blush.
Eyes
Use a shimmer-based ivory highlighter on your brow bone (M.A.C Eye Shadow in Nylon) and blend well. Pick any three dominant colors used on your clothes, (we will use purple). Apply the lightest shade all over the lids (M.A.C Eye Shadow in Beautiful Iris), then the darker shade in the crease (M.A.C Eye Shadow in Satellite Dreams), working towards the outer areas under the eyebrows, and then the darkest shade (M.A.C Eye Shadow in Purple Haze) in a triangular shape towards the outermost area of the eyes. A contrasting color (M.A.C Eye Shadow in Blue Storm) of your choice can dot the area just above the lash line — this will update the whole effect! Apply a gel-based liner (M.A.C Fluid Line in Blacktrack) (color of your choice, the more experimental the better) all the way from the inner corner of the eye to about a quarter inch past the actual area where the eyelid ends. This will make the eye look larger than it actually is. Draw a more refined/defined, line from the inner corner of your lower lid and work towards meeting the line drawn on the top. You can really use your imagination here — both with colors and technique — to elongate the line or single wing it! Apply mascara (M.A.C Plush Lash Mascara) to the lashes liberally, giving it time for drying between applications.
Lips
Outline lips with a nude lip pencil (M.A.C Cremestick Liner in Honey B). Dab on a glossy/flat nude lipstick (M.A.C Lipstick in Supersequin) that complements the overall tone of your outfit.
