Is The Mad Hatter Johnny Depp or Elijah Wood?

What is it about this Mad Hatter makeup that makes Johnny Depp look EXACTLY like Elijah Wood? Every time I see this Alice in Wonderland poster, I have to remind myself that it's Jack Sparrow (and not Frodo Baggins) underneath it all.

C'mon...I can't be the only one who's noticed this.
