Thank you, Cassandra...I am very humbled! To become a successful makeup artist entails a whole lot and I could think of a million things to say here. Here are five tips to help:* Be passionate about what you do because it shows in your work.

* Figure out what area of work you like best (fashion, celeb, editorial, etc) and try to focus on that.

* Study and research art and fashion - both past and present. It's important to know and be able to execute period looks, etc.

* Go with a great agent that you like and that believes in you and your work.

* Always stay positive and have a good attitude while working.

A BIT ABOUT ME...
I've been insanely busy lately. I'm exhausted. I'm sick of looking at my laptop, and I'm not relishing the thought of typing anything at the moment.

I'm also starting my week back by dealing with our auditors at work. Yippee. Today is going to bite on so many levels. I swear, I need to find away to quit my day job so I can focus on doing what I really want: writing and blogging.

Make-up Trend: Bronzy, Luminous Skin

On the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar India, Lara Dutta shows us that you don't have to look like a porcelain doll to have glowy, reflective skin. Smooth a few drops of liquid foundation over your entire face in a shade one touch darker than your natural skin tone, then top the look off with a slighty shimmery translucent powder. Violet Duchess

I've been ill since last friday, so I try to make good use of my time and paint a little :) Nothing too complicated, but I was feeling like some blue/purple combo today. The lid was done with MAC Lovely Lily and Violet pigments, and the crease is MAC Cool Heat, Lime Crime Duchess and Pure Luxe Turquoise Aura. The liner essence Pretty Cool is feathered out in the outer corner and I added some teal sequins for that glamour touch.

It gives me a natural glow ^_^

Winter is already here and, I have been using Mark's Just Pinched in Sunny as my everyday blush. It's perfect for winter. I need a natural glow to my face so I won't look dead in the morning and this product does the job beautifully.

What is it? Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Sunny glides on smoothly and blends easily to provide a sheer wash of natural looking color. 0.14 oz. net wt.

How is the quality? I love the packaging. It's a small tube where you twist and the product comes out. Its very portable and, I carry one in my makeup bag. Also, the texture is smooth and I notice that It last longer than a powder blush.

How do you like it? I love this blush. I have oily skin and, I didn't have a problem with it at all. Its very easy to apply and blend. It takes me no time to apply it. I sometimes use my fingers or a foundation brush to apply on my cheeks. The color works well with my skin tone too. It looks dark in the tube but It is quite sheer so I have total control of how much goes on my face. Also, the price is great. It's only $6.00
