Review/Test: Maybelline New York Falsies Volum' Express

The reason why I bought this mascara because of the label "Falsies" on the tube. It was very intriguing. I read the back of the packaging and it supposed to give your lashes the false lashes effect giving them a bold and voluminous appearance with no gaps and spaces and etc. Wow, really? Are you serious? Well...lets find out!

PRODUCT CLAIM:
Maybelline New York website claims: "The Falsies Mascara delivers a false lash look, giving you a full set of voluminous, bold, fanned-out lashes and the appearance of no gaps from any angle." (source: MaybellineNewYork.ca

 WAND, FORMULA, APPLICATION:
This mascara came in a curved bristled wand/brush. I'm used to the standard thin or fat mascara brush so this one was pretty interesting to try. The formula was thick but not goopy and application was very easy. After a few coats, I instantly saw a big difference which was amazing. I took my time and applied many coats until I was satisfied. Be patient and take your time, you will get better results if you do so. I also had to use a lash comb to separate the lashes evenly. But it was no biggie since I do that with other mascaras I use.

RESULT:
Did this mascara made my lashes look like false lashes? Ummm...Yes and No! Yes, it did make my lashes really long and volumized and the difference from before was very obvious especially during daytime. Kiko even noticed my lashes looked thicker lol...amazing right? ( I just thought it was funny how he pays attention to the little details on my face ^_^ ) And no because it's very far from looking like a full set of false lashes. The claim is a total exaggeration. I've tried different kinds of false lashes from natural to dramatic and the result did not come even close. False lashes look perfect... absolutely perfect with even lashes and no big gaps and my lashes did not look nothing like it. They should advertise it as...Almost Falsies lol.

Curling the lashes after applying mascara really helps them to look fanned out. I do this a lot and no, it won't cut your lashes.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
My review was based on the product claim which I thought was funny because making your lashes look like false lashes was impossible. However this mascara was amazing...yes, I used the word amazing because it really is. You can see a big difference before and after and I love how it made my lashes longer, thicker and very obvious. I mean it got Kiko's attention so to me that's amazing! TRY IT! ^_^
