NYX Round Lipgloss in Real Nude is a gorgeous cool mauve nude shade with no shimmers. It's one of my favorite nude because it looks very natural and great for everyday use. It's opaque and covers the lips with one coat. The only downside of NXY round lipgloss is the weird scent. Some say it smells like Pinesol, while some say it smells like candy. Also, the doe-foot applicator is a bit flimsy. But other than that, it's a good and inexpensive lip gloss.

Slowly Making My Way Back

I can't believe I haven't written anything here on my blog in months.  I've never gone this long without posting, so it seems really weird trying to get back. 

I've been having a conversation with myself that goes like this: either come back or shut this puppy down.  But I just don't think I'm quite ready to give up the ghost--not just yet anyway.

I guess this is my roundabout way of saying I'm back, bitches!  I think I'll start off slowly, with a post or two every week.  It's a start...a slow start...but better than nothing.

NYX Round Lip Gloss in Doll Pink is a gorgeous fuschia with purple shimmers. I love this lip gloss because it's like a liquid lip color. It's opaque and covers the entire lips with one layer. You can also use it to top a lipstick, but you don't have to. It's simply gorgeous on it's own. It's non sticky and applies smoothly on the lips. It last about 3 hours of wear, but I don't mind re applying it because it's moisturizing on the lips.

It's peach tint that dissipates quickly to a powder finish leaving a smooth and matte surface, which makes foundation application easier.

HOW: Use this product after moisturizer. Sqeeze a small amount of primer and dot it all over the face:forehead, nose, cheeks and chin, then blend with fingers or cosmetic sponge. Now, you can apply your favorite foundation on top.

Fix and Perfect Foundation Primer on my face. It slightly evens out my skin tone.

I've been using this primer for a long time and it has made a difference with my makeup. The texture is not  slippery as most foundation primers (silicone based) I've tried, yet it leaves my face a silky and smooth surface,making foundation application easier. It really does make my foundation (liquid, cream or powder) last longer and keeps excess oil on check.    Dziś prezentuję Wam jeden z moich ulubionych kolorów paznokciowych tej wiosny :)

Jak po tytule widać lakier jest z Essence - kolor piękny, brzoskwiniowo - morelowy nude. Lakier dość gęsty, ładnie kryje, ma kremowe, bezdrobinkowe wykończenie... ale... ale jak on się diabelnie ciężko nakłada, trzeba nakładać go dość grubą warstwą i naprawde się starać (zostawia smugi, nakłada się nie równo) - pędzel też nie ułatwia sprawy.

FOTD: Bright Under Eyes and Doll Pink Lips.

This is the makeup look I wore today. Not so exciting is it? LOL. I mentioned in previous FOTD that I'm currently into simple makeup looks with light eye makeup and bold lips. It's not that I don't want to play with eye shadows anymore, I'm just really liking how my eyes look without too much makeup and I play more on the lips by choosing a bright and bold lipstick or gloss.

For this look, I did a soft contouring on the eyes using MAC blush in Gingerly. This blush is my current favorite. It's light enough to be a blush and dark enough at the same time to be used as a contour shade. I then brightened my under eyes with a light concealer (Physicians Fomula Strength Rx in Soft Yellow). This is a bit tricky to pull off.  You really must blend the concealer very well. I used a damp sponge to pat the concealer down until it blends onto the skin and slightly blend it down the cheekbones. I guess I should do a tutorial next time to show you how I do it. It makes my face look bright and awake. I defined my face by applying a bronzer (Milani Mosaic blush in Afterglow) under my cheekbones and the jaw line. I never skip this step. I like how it pops up my cheek bones and makes my face look slimmer.

For my lips, I first applied Wet n Wild Mega Last lipstick in 901B Think Pink. It's a soft pale nude pink. I was able to pull off this shade a month ago. I've gotten a bit darker, so now it looks pasty on me. To make it work, I topped it with NYX Round lipgloss in Doll Pink, which is a bright fuchsia with purple undertone. It looks much better.
