I hope you guys aren't tired yet of seeing this eye shadow duo lol. I've been talking about it for a whole week. I've already done 2 looks using it and now is the perfect time for a review. I got this duo at my local CVS not too long ago and, I've never tried any eye shadows from the NYC line so I didn't know what to expect. I mainly bought it because of the bright pink and purple shade. Also, it was only $2.99 so might as well get it right?
To my surprise, I have to say it was 3 bucks well spent because this duo is awesome. The eye shadows were true to it's color, very pigmented and easy to blend. Right now, I have it in front of my makeup collection for an easy reach in case I'm in the mood for a pink or purple look .
WHAT: Two perfectly coordinated, ultra silky textured shadows brighten and contour eyes. Color glides on smoothly, evenly and really lasts. Dual ended applicator included for professional results! (source: http://www.newyorkcolor.com)
It's part of NYC's summer 2010 collection designed by celebrity makeup artist Matthew Nigara and, they are limited edition.
WHERE: You can get it at your local drugstore. I got mine at my local CVS
PRICE: $2.99 but you can get it at an even cheaper price if you have a coupon ^_^
PACKAGING: A small rectangle black compact made of plastic. It's pretty sturdy.
SHADE: This duo is in Island Sunset (PINK and PURPLE) but it's available in 4 other shades with cool names such us Bowling Greens, Upper Zest Side and Yankee Blues. The colors in the compact are meant to compliment each other so it will be easier to create a look.
AMOUNT: 1.9 g/0.07 oz
ODOR: It doesn't smell anything which is good!
TEXTURE: It's quite soft but not the softest texture.
PIGMENTATION: It's surprisingly really good. I've never tried any eye shadows from the NYC line so I didn't really know what to expect. I'm amazed with color pay off and It's true to its color. If you've watched my makeup tutorial that I did then you'll know what I'm taking about.
